During the winter my girlfriend hit a snowdrift, so the bottom of the front bumper is broken. We will change it after the winter, but since I prefer the look of the front bumper of a GT, why not putting one!But my question is: will it fit? I mean, is there any difference where both bumper are screwed...
Yes, I bought 15" steelies and tried them on my 2009 base Vibe, and it fit. But, not all 15" steelies will fit. Those one came from a Toyota dealer. I tried another set coming from a Pontiac Sunfir (same bolt pattern), but it did not clear the caliper, so be careful. But definetly it's pos...
I tried today 15" rims on my 2009 with 1,8l and it did not fit either. Maybe there is another model that would fit?EDIT: I was lucky today; I've found a kit (rims+tires) used that came from an older Vibe, and the women that sold them told me the rims were bought from a Toyota dealer, and it fit...
I was also looking for winter tires, and now I stopped my choice on these 2 tires: Pirelli Winter Carving studded, or Toyo GO-2 +.I already bought used 15" steel rims, but I tried to install one on my 2009 Vibe with 1,8L, and it won't fit, the caliper is too big. SoI think I will put winter tir...
I have more than 4000 km on my Vibe 2009 manual with 1,8l, and my average is 7,51 l/100 km (31,32 mpg). This is done mostly city driving, country road, a bit of highway. So I think it's very good, better than EPA ratings.
Quote, originally posted by TheGames »I will contact the salesman to know if maybe he can do anything..Let us know if he can do something, that would be great! I knew I should have wait a little bit more (I received mine in june), but my other lease was finished, so I did not really have the choice...
My only regrets is I bought my car too early! Since now they are 0% on 60 months, and when I bought it it was 5,4% on 60 months, it's a big difference. For the car itself, no regrets!
I'll answer my question. I've found the information on Matrix forums:REPLACEMENTCAUTION: •Prolonged and repeated contact with engine oil will cause removal of natural oils from the skin, leading to dryness, irritation and dermatitis. In addition, used engine oil contains potentially harmful contam...
I'm looking also to buy one, but the only one I saw is on the canadian GM site, but there is just a pictures, don't know if they are available yet.I'll need to call my dealer to know if he can get one for me! http://www.gm.ca/gm/english/ve...ories
I will do my first oil change in the next few weeks (Vibe 2009 1,8l), so I wanted to know if it's reaaly required to have the special tool to unscrew the oild filter, or is it possible to do it by hand?If the tool is required, do you know the size needed? Thanks
Depends how much oil is on your plugs, but we can't say it's "normal".It's probably your valve cover/spark plugs gasket that needs to be replace. Not a big deal, and it's pretty easy to do yourself, and don't cost an arm.
Here's my numbers:1st tank: 100% city = 27 mpg2nd tank: 75% city, 25% road = 29.4 mpg3rd tank: 100% road = 38 mpg (maybe not accurate since we got power outage when filling it up)I just have 1500 km on it (a little bit less than 1000 miles), so I'm still in my break-in period, with original oil (wil...
Mine is manual (I bought it for fuel economy, so I choose everything that could help me to have better mileage).I calculate my mpg like you do (and like everyone should do). I must say I drive my Vibe very gently (no hard acceleration, remove my feet from the pedal when I see a red light, etc.) beca...
Thank you for the good comments! For my mileage, I just have 1500 km on it (1000 miles) so I just filled it 3 times (in fact 2 times since it was full when I received it).On my first tank I got 27 mpg 100% city driving. Second tank was 75% city, 25% road and I got 29.4 mpg. My last tank was 100% road...
My A/C on my 09's Vibe is really cold, and I don't have to wait before it cools the entire vehicule, I really like it.But I can't tell you if it's noisy from the outside.
To answer your question:1- I'm on my second tank, but first time I filled it up I got around 27 mpg (100% city), but don't know how much gas was in the tank since it was not me who filled it (it was full, but when I fill it myself, it's really full!), and I'm still in my break in period, so I'm pret...
Thank you for your comment. The "tint" is 50% in front and 20% rear.N.B.: Usually I speak and write in french, it's why I wrote "tainted" and not "tinted"!
Here's some new pics of my new car, now with tainted windows:I really like my new car, it's comfortable but sporty enough, it's roomy, and good on gas.
Does anybody know if it's possible to plug easily the OEM fog lights on a 2009 Vibe that does not come with it?Because I read that for the older models the wiring was already there, just have to connect the fog, put a relay in the fuse box and change the wiper arm, and then you're ok, like if it was...
And now I got my windows tainted, so I will take some pics and I will show you. It's really better than stock!I really appreciate the ride so far, it's smooth but also firm when needed, the shifter is so sweet, and don't seems to take a lot of gas (only 300 km yet and half of the tank full)I wanted ...

Finally I received my new Vibe 2009. So far I'm very please with my purchase. The only down side is the big blind spot behind the 2nd seat row, but I can leave with it.Here's some pics:I'll get windows tainted this week, I'll post pictures as soon as it's done!
The 09 with 2,4L is estimated 21 MPG city driving (don't know if it's automatic or manual transmission). You are close to the EPA ratings, and you are still breaking in your engine. And I just saw you are living in Quebec, so it's still "winter" and we still have this crappy winter fuel, so...
If you compare the EPA estimated MPG of the 2006 and the 2009 for example, it's normal that the numbers for the 2009 are lower because they changed the way they calculate the MPG recently. If we compare the MPG with the new way to calculate MPG, it's pretty much the same: http://www.fueleconomy.gov/f...
I also ordered an Ultra White 2009 Vibe (base), but I've never saw one (Only saw pictures of GT, with side skirts, different bumper, etc.)Can you take pictures of yours and post them there please? Also, for accessories, there is not many accessories available yet. I asked my dealer to add fog lights...
Yeah there is a few Vibe at the dealer, but they are all automatic, red or blue, etc.I wanted a white one, manual, so I needed to order it. Anyway my current lease ends in June, so for me it's perfect to wait 3 months!
I Eloi!I'm also from Quebec. I ordered mine last week, and it should be produced between may 5th and may 16th if I remember well. The vendor told me it should take 2-3 weeks after the production to arrive at the dealer, so your vendor seems to be right! (our both our vendors are wrong! )Since there i...
I ordered mine this week, and the dealer told me the production date for my car should be between 5th and 16th of may, so your car should be at the end of april. Can't wait for the car also, but since it's still "winter" here, I prefer to wait and receive my car during summer, so I'll be ab...
I ordered a new Vibe 2009 tonight, and I asked the dealer if it was possible to install those fog lights, but he did'nt know. He should keep me updated in the next few days.If you find any information regarding the fog lights (how much, how, when, where! ) please let us know.
