Re: Cold Temp Starts 2: Electric Boogaloo

Vibe is daily driven, and we have a '92 Lincoln Mark VII with a glass mat in it. Will swap it over when i get the chance to see if the battery is the problem.

Cold Temp Starts 2: Electric Boogaloo

Earlier this morning when i went to start my 07' Vibe with 208k mi, it was about 5°F. I went to start it and it cranked at a low speed and took much longer to start than in the summer. No, i do not have a block heater and yes, i park it outside. Is this normal, or is there something wrong?

Re: Sudden deep exhaust note?

Not too long after the incident, the check engine light came on and threw codes at me about the catalytic converter's O2 sensors not sending the right data.

Re: Sudden deep exhaust note?

No exhaust damage somehow..

What else might it be?

It also only does it when in drive or reverse, not in neutral or park.

Sudden deep exhaust note?

On Friday, due to a loose roof molding, i hopped a curb, hit a sign and bounced off the same one again with my left front. As i have an 07 Vibe, i had just the bare steelies and the right front was bent to hell. Had to get a new wheel+tire, control arm, and an alignment. Now i have an exhaust note r...

Cluster swap, need help!

I just recently came back from a junkyard trip and picked up some roof rails, a cluster from a 02-05(?) and new visors, and plan to swap them into my 07 Vibe. When I removed the cluster from my vibe, there was a second cable that seemed to control the fuel gauge and O/D off light. When I test fitted...

Re: Cold Temp Starts

It is indeed B.

I am unaware of when the last tune-up was done as the seller was handed the title before the original owner left town, then the car sat for two to three years. Miraculously, it only took a fresh battery to start. It does have new spark plugs, air filter, oil+oil filter, and belt.

Cold Temp Starts

It's me again! So I live in Joliet, Illinois (right now there's 3 feet of snow in some places) and I've been noticing that my 2007 Base Vibe takes half a second to a full second, sometimes even one and a half seconds to crank over and finally start cold, while my father's 2015 Tundra starts nearly i...

Underside seems fine, we're just worried about the brakes right now.

Re: Am new to forums, please be gentle

Found in the back lot of the auto body shop my dad works at. Apparently it was a shop car and was left there by the previous building owner.

Don't worry, I'll post an image soon.

Re: Am new to forums, please be gentle

The Vibe actually does drop into gear and is able to move under it's own power. We are currently fitting the power hatch stuff on it, but we will soon be changing all if not most of the fluids and the brakes.

I'm an hour south of Chicago, humidity lately has been pretty low other than rainstorms.

Am new to forums, please be gentle

Hello GenVibe! As you can see, I am new here. I was shown this site when I first got my Blue 07 Base Vibe. Anyway, my Vibe has 199K miles on it and it was sitting in a parking lot without running for 2-3 years at the point I purchased it. Once we got a new battery in it, it started right up. Is ther...
