This thread is really old, but for the manual, would you need to also add the clutch release switch? I know for the older vibes, 03-08, just adding the stalk wont work if you have a manual, you also need to add the clutch release switch. I dont know if they story is the same for the 09 manual.

How did you get to the master cylinder? what did you have to remove to get to it? did you have to unbolt it from inside by the pedal, and if so how?

yeah it's probably a little to late to change my shifting habits, wish I did that 10 years ago! I'll change the fluid and see what happens, but I'm guessing there's gotta be more to it than that
