Re: Drivers side headlight bulb replacement!

Yeah it seems right but not like the AC actuator space. I managed that without bending the bar. I’m hoping (hoping…..) I can replace the bulbs without moving or removing the headlight assembly or even the battery tbh.

When the bulbs arrive in a few days I will know either way.

Re: Drivers side headlight bulb replacement!

Hello mate!! I remember you from a post waaaay back! Thanks for the advice! I just looked (before it started hammering down with rain in NY) as it doesn’t seem to hard. I remember doing the AC blend / door actuator blast year and that was a B!Tch. The top bolt had me screaming last time. I’m fairly ...

Drivers side headlight bulb replacement!

Hello and hope all are well?! Before I get started and make my famous mistakes-of diving in head first…… will actually ask! Do you have to remove the battery to get the drivers side bulb replaced? Any risks of disconnecting the battery or pcm / onboard computer issues associated with taint off the b...

FUEL ECONOMY! Spark Plug Change & Techron Fuel Cleaner.

Just sharing a small update I made to my car a few weeks back...... I upgraded the spark plugs (Denso iridium SK16R11 - from Advanced auto parts $9) and also the tehcron fuel cleaner that was on sale asking $4. After I waited two weeks for two tanks of gas and ran 5 trips each around 18-20 miles whi...

Re: Air Recirculation Actuator

My 2003 GT has this issue. Is access via the glove box roof? Can I pull a fuse in the meantime? Remove the glove box, and you'll see it. I JUST did mine yesterday. It's not hard, really. Just two small 5.5mm screws holding it in, and the electrical connector.. 2 hours later, I was finally finished....

The vibe and the Impreza have a similar styling. My friend has a nice Impreza in black! Pretty nippy for a small car also!

Wow. I wish I hadn’t found this article! It’s insanely detailed and amazing..... but now I’m confused as f-Ck! Trying to work out what’s best for my 07 vibe at 120k. They messed up an oil change and SURE when they replaced the engine / parts also put dex cool in the car as a coolant. Now I don’t kn...

Re: Engine coolant advice (again!!) 07 vibe / base model

All GM dealerships are going to tell you to use dexcool, as that is what THEY call for. That said, the biggest concern is keeping all of the fluid the same. If you're unsure of what is in there, drain it all and refill with your preferred flavor. Thanks for the reply! I approached my mechanic and t...

Re: Engine coolant advice (again!!) 07 vibe / base model

Here is all you need to know regarding the difference between Toyota Red (long life coolant) and Toyota Pink (Super long life coolant). As you will read at the end of this link, you can put the Toyota Pink in your car even though it came with Red from the factory, or you can just buy the cheaper Re...

Re: Engine coolant advice (again!!) 07 vibe / base model

The car came with Toyota red, use toyota red, or equivalent. I don't know if dexcool has changed, but at one point there were a reports of sludging issues when mixing dexcool and other coolants. Do not use dexcool in an 07. Not the way it should be, but trust us on this, not the dealerships. Also, ...

I just topped mine off with a can of refrigerant. Yep, that's one of several mistakes printed in our owner's manual. For the second gen Vibe, our manuals state that we have Toyota Type IV transmission fluid in our car...............WRONG. Your first gen Vibe has Toyota Type IV, but not our second generation. So getting back to your coolant, please...

Do you know if the doors have drainage channels at the bottom of the doors I've never looked, but i would presume there would be a drainage hole or two at the bottom of the doors. Based on everything you've mentioned, I really do feel it would be the windshield causing your leak. If it's less, the ...

Hello hello! How many drainage holes are there from the sunroof on a vibe 07?
