Harrison Township _ 2009 Base 206,000 purchased new. Love it, just struggling finding replacement parts when needed. If you're after something mechanical, Rock Auto is a good bet. If it's something body-related or small odds-and-ends that Rock Auto doesn't have, forget the Pontiac dealerships and j...

It's been a busy spring and summer that has seen my family grow to a total of (5), which necessitated the purchase of a larger family hauler. Re: OEM Ignition Coil Resistance/Voltage Specs for 1.8L 1ZZ-FE Engine?

Coils are very heat sensitive. Your tester can not allow for the heat factor that the coils see when in an engine. Also be careful when testing the coils as a cracked or leakage (as in spark/voltage) from a coil can jump out and have a shocking result for you. A cracked spark plug will produce the ...

Re: OEM Ignition Coil Resistance/Voltage Specs for 1.8L 1ZZ-FE Engine?

My initial thought is: ignoring the spark plugs and ignition coils is like ignoring to feed a malnourished baby because its belly is getting larger. Kids need feeding; cars need feeding. If you have never replaced either in the now 100,000 miles since you've owned the car, I'd bet good money that y...

Re: What is the Average Life Expectancy for the OEM O2 Sensors?

O2 sensors are sensitive to environment. The longer time the O2 sensor spends outside of it's desired range, the more likely it will be broken. EG: Exhaust leaks cause the sensors to heat up too much. A leaky injector can cause the cat to go bad, causing more fuel to be dumped on the sensor than it...
