pulled the relay and tested it but online sources said reading should be between 50-120 ohms. Anything more or less should be discarded. I got a reading of 166 ohms so safe to assume it's bad?

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.. I checked the 40amp fuse and it's good. I'm giving up. Gonna bite the bullet and take it to the shop. ARRGGH...I hate giving away my money when it's probably something so simple that I"m overlooking.
