I dont think you picked up a freak of nature. I am having similar experience. I bought my 2003 Vibe GT new in 2003 (march 18). Theo odometer stopped at 299999km a long time ago and i have been using the tripmeter log ever since. Last week it turned 400, 000 km (240,000miles) and it still runs fine....

Fixing rusted floor board 2003 -2008 Vibe, not sure if the 09-10 had similar design. Came across an access point to the frame rails that needs attention for anyone living in an area that uses salt. Once the carpet is removed, under the front sound dampening panel are two access panels on each side....

If you do, stay away from 2010 models. Reason, NUMMI was shutting down, GM and Toyota pulling out, workers were losing their jobs, so very little incentive, other than getting paid, to build a quality product.

Welcome! Glad you found us and you do have a nice project with that Vibe! The door handles are pretty easy to replace, and the front fender could possibly be worked on a bit from the back to have it not look as bad, but that rear quarter panel really needs a replacement panel to repair it correctly...
