Re: Any experience with StabiliTrack? (GMJAP)

Maybe my wife's old Sunfire is just junk compared to my A4, but we both notice our AWD A4 handles much MUCH better on rainy roads than the FWD Sunfire.I think I'll buy the StabiliTrack. The theory seems very sound. Think of it as ABS for driving mode.

Any experience with StabiliTrack?

I've been going back and forth in my head about buying an AWD vs. FWD vs. FWD with StabiliTrack. I have a 96 A4 Quattro (AWD) and really like how it handles during spotty weather. I live in Texas but rain and oily slick roads is always a concern.Does anyone have StabiliTrack or driven with it and ca...

What are GM's Hybrid Vibe Plans?

As was posted in an old thread, http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=1525, back in Jan 2000 a USA Today article (http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=1525) said GM would offer a hybrid Vibe in 2004 using GM's "ParadiGM" system. Welp, the 2004 models are out and there is no hybrid.Any...

Re: Paint Issues - Would You Buy Anyway Knowing What You Know Now? (Stang2Vibe)

Thanks for all the responses!Trust me... I've looked at a ton of Vibes (three different dealers to see all the colors... two Sundays just staring at the cars when they are closed). But I am no expert and my eye can't determine how thick a paint job is, how many coats there are, how well it will wear...

Re: Paint Issues - Would You Buy Anyway Knowing What You Know Now? (ArcsVibe)

Hi ArcsVibe.Dallas temp varies widely during the winter. Today I played tennis for 2 hours in about 72 degrees. But it is a balmy 58 right now and a little windy. I get chilly easily so for me 58 and the very low humidity here is cold ;-). We'll probably get one ice storm in January. I mostly want t...

Paint Issues - Would You Buy Anyway Knowing What You Know Now?

I am considering a Vibe AWD or a Rav4 AWD. Rav4 drove like a truck whereas the Vibe was very smooth. Makes sense I know given the skeleton differences between the two. We had ruled out the Rav4 BUT ...All this paint stuff has me really concerned (I think I've read most of the threads). I like the Sh...

GM in the Driveway Questions + Some AWD

Hi. Anybody know whether the "Supplier" price on a dealer's invoice includes the standard $560 destination charge? Haven't got that far with the dealer yet and want to be prepared if they try to pull a fast one. If it is not then the "GM in the Driveway" price does not seem that ...

Clarification needed on Vive aux input

Hi. I've read recent threads about aux input but am a bit confused due to the various HU options and any '04 (XM ready) vs. old '04 (no XM) issues.I'm looking to buy a new '04 Vive. Was going to get the standard "free" radio+CD.Is it possible to use one of the converters like those found a...
