I haven't, but i've thought about it. If I did it, i'd probably use some of those slimline subs so I wouldn't put too much weight on the hatch. If you did full fiberglass and normal subs, you'd definitely have to upgrade the pistons for the hatch.

Hidden hitch all the way! Put mine on a few years ago and has been doing great. Mostly those 4x8' UHaul trailers, though I did help one of my neighbors pull a car-trailer into position so he could hitch it to his truck.I think I got mine from eTrailer.com.. Can't remember though. Was around $100ish.

That's probably not it if you took the whole box off the wall. There would be more than one cable going in.Usually there's a screw holding the front door on to the thing. You may have to open it up and disconnect the power leads directly. Also a picture of said box may help..

Figures. Those flex cables tend to have issues after time. I think the plastic just turns a little more brittle than they thought and it just splits. The Kenwood MASK units had a similar issue.At least Pioneer is stepping up and fixing it!

Ah, Type-R 6.5". Pretty much anything with a 50w RMS rating will do you. The Alpine amps aren't bad. Kicker and JL amps are pretty nice too.

The disc is probably the same for the Matrix and Vibe, but it is not a Toyota disc. IE, the Lexus Nav discs will not work with the Vibe NAV.I think in theory the disc can be copied using a dual-layer burner, but I sold my NAV setup around two years ago, so I don't have the disc..

USB is nice because it's portable. However most USB tuners put a lot more emphasis on CPU use than PCI tuners. So if you don't want to sacrifice your CPU cycles, stick with PCI.

Actually most Pioneer secondary adapters DO need constant battery power in order to store settings and options. There's no reason that fuse should blow if its connected properly. Make sure to check all your connections, and that you don't have ground and power reversed.

As raging said, part of the package. On the Vibe your options were power and no power, no in-between. If you want an electric release for your hatch glass, you're going to have to add the solenoid yourself (or have it installed, but aftermarket, not factory)
