Guys, I just got myself a "as described on the topic above".

First, I would like to apologize for only posting one shot of the car yet..
I just got the car yesterday, so I haven't got the time to do a photoshoot.

Anyway, I thought it would be nice to make a little introduction,
You guys can call me "ToyodaV", I'm from Jakarta, Indonesia.
Hope I'm not the only one here.

Well, just for your info, there aren't many Voltz here in Jakarta, you can barely find it on the road. I will find it hard to actually get someone to brainstorm about the car.
That's one of the main reason why I'm here.

Mine is running 72,000 km(s), I can feel the suspension needs to be replaced as the ride felt bumpy. For your info (Voltz experts out there), the only parts that's been replaced in this car is the disk brakes.

Any suggestion of suspension parts other than Toyota Original Parts?
Please do name the type and brand, also how much it approximately cost.
By the way, I'm open to modification as long as it's kept practical.

Thanks guys, I will be back with some of the shots of my Voltz.

Cheers,
ToyodaV

Welcome to GenVibe!

Are you planning on lowering your Voltz or keeping it at the stock height?
That will determine which shocks and springs you will want to get.

welcome to the international family!!!! love those voltzs!!!!

post pics when you can. and like bluecrush said, your springs/shocks options depend on whether you want to lower the car, or keep it stock.

Thanks for the quick response, guys.

Well, I'm planning to have the car lowered, what are my options?

Sorry, but I thought the height of the car is determined by the springs, not the shocks?

Sorry for being such a newbs.

Cheers

well yes the height of the car does depend on the springs, but there are shocks that are made for certain springs to give a different feel and handle to the ride of the car. as for Springs there are i think 3 different heights out there, the lowest are hella expensive and those are coil overs which are fully adjustable to go as low as possible or get the vehicle to about stock ride heith. then there is the 2.2" drop mainly from Tein S-techs and i think hotchicks but not too sure about that. then there is a 1.8" drop that is from eibach and a few others, then there is the 1.5" drop from places like TRD, Tein H-techs, Eibach, and a few others. now when you do lower the car with any of those springs your best shock to go with as a replacement is the Tokico Blue shocks.

oh and BTW welcome to the GenVibe/Voltz family!
