The Chicken!

Why did the chicken cross the road BARACK OBAMA: The chicken crossed the road because it was time for a change! The chicken wanted change! JOHN MC CAIN: My friends, that chicken crossed the road because he recognized the need to engage in cooperation and dialogue with all the chickens on the other side of the road. &nbs p; HILLARY CLINTON: When I was First Lady, I personally helped that little chicken to cross the road. This experience makes me uniquely qualified to ensure right from Day One! that every chicken in this country gets the chance it deserves to cross the road. But then, this really isnt about me. GEORGE W. BUSH: We dont really care why the chicken crossed the road. We just want to know if the chicken is on our side of the road, or not. The chicken is either against us, or for us. There is no middle ground here. & nbsp; DICK CHENEY: Wheres my gun COLIN POWELL: Now to the left of the screen, you can clearly see the satellite image of the chicken crossing the road. BILL CLINTON: I did not cross the road with that chicken. What is your definition of chicken AL GORE: I invented the chicken. JOHN KERRY: Although I voted to let the chicken cross the road, I am now against it! It was the wrong road to cross, and I was misled about the chickens intentions. I am not for it now, and will remain against it. AL SHARPTON: Why are all the chickens white We need some black chickens. DR. PHIL: The problem we have here is that this chicken wont realize that he must first deal with the problem on this side of the road before it goes after the problem on the other side of the road. What we need to do is help him realize how stupid hes acting by not taking on his current problems before adding new problems. OPRAH: Well, I understand that the chicken is having problems, which is why he wants to cross this road so bad. So instead of having the chicken learn from his mistakes and take falls, which is a part of life, Im going to give this chicken a car so that he can just drive across the road and not live his life like the rest of the chickens. ANDERSON COOPER, CNN: We have reason to believe there is a chicken, but we have not yet been allowed to have access to the other side of the road. NANCY GRACE: That chicken crossed the road because hes guilty! You can see it in his eyes and the way he walks. PAT BUCHANAN: To steal the job of a decent, hardworking American. MARTHA STEWART: No one called me to warn me which way that chicken was going. I had a standing order at the Farmers Market to sell my eggs when the price dropped to a certain level. No little bird gave me any insider information. DR SEUSS: Did the chicken cross the road Did he cross it with a toad Did he cross it with a hare Did he cross it with a bear Did he check if the road was hot I kninda doubt it, I think not! Yes, the chicken crossed the road, but why it crossed, Ive not been told. Just one more thing I have to say, it's been bugging me to this very day. If the Chicken is a she, why do we keep saying HE ERNEST HEMINGWAY: To die in the rain, alone. JERRY FALWELL: Because the chicken was gay! Cant you people see the plain truth Thats why they call it the other side. Yes, my friends, that chicken is gay. And if you eat that chicken, you will become gay, too. I say we boycott all chickens until we sort out this abomination that the liberal media whitewashes with seemingly harmless phrases like the other side. That chicken should not be crossing the road. Its as plain and as simple as that. GRANDPA: In my day we didnt ask why the chicken crossed the road. Somebody told us the chicken crossed the road, and that was good enough. BARBARA WALTERS: Isnt that interesting In a few moments, we will be listening to the chicken tell, for the first time, the heart warming story of how it experienced a serious case of molting, and went on to accomplish its lifelong dream of crossing the road. ARISTOTLE: It is the nature of chickens to cross the road. JOHN LENNON: Imagine all the chickens in the world crossing roads together, in peace. BILL GATES: I have just released eChicken2008, which will not only cross roads, but will lay eggs, file your important documents, and balance your checkbook. Internet Explorer is an integral part of eChicken2008. This new platform is much more stable and will never cra#@&&^(C%..........reboot. ALBERT EINSTEIN: Did the chicken really cross the road, or did the road move beneath the chicken COLONEL SANDERS: Did I miss one

Note to self...start carrying a spare...

Last night I finished a 9am-9pm shift, (have another today, another tomorrow...)so I carry the laptop bag, and my dog (in her carry bag) out to the car, put them in and locked the door shut, my routine. (I always leave the front seat folded down, and put the bag on top of it so they can see out. I then put the seat belt through the carrier handle for safety.) After I closed the door, checked the pockets and realized oh @#$% I don't have my keys. Luckily I have security on speed dial on my cel. Security shows up and they got 4 or 5 guys taking turns trying to slim jim the doors, telling my dog, 'don't worry...we'll save you!' They could NOT slim jim the door. In between their attempts, they were asking "what year is this What is this a Toyota' I said it was a Pontiac Vibe, the sister of the Toyota Matrix. Why...are Toyotas hard to open Yeah. The newer cars have something blocking the mechanism.' Eventually after half an hour of watching my dog pant and wonder what the heck was going on, they finally got it open and I almost cried. (in case of lurker crooks, I will not publicly reveal how they did it...to save all our cars!) The keys were in the uncovered CD-case-sized open compartment by the shifter with my wallet. I don't remember putting them there, but O....K... I have never ever done this before and promised my dog I never would again. Boy do I feel stupid and senile and now feel like I need to carry a spare. Doh!

Just got my hitch yesterday. It's a Class II frame hitch from Curt billed as capable of pulling a max of 2,500lbs.I know the GM says that she is good for 1,500lbs but I suspect that this is largely to protect GM against any lawsuits and that there are a few of us out there who have towed more than the recommended max load. So, has anyone topped 1500lbs and what has been the result

"Dynamatting" my Doors

I am planning on adding some material to my doors to improve sound and minimize rattle and am looking for some advice from those of you who have done this. What I Have:I have a moderate head pushing 25 watts per channel with Pioneer speakers up front and Insignia speakers in the rear. The front channels play the full range while the rear channels are bass-heavy. I have no subs. The Plan:I will add the material to the inside of the outer door skin, the bottom of the inside of the door and on the outside of inner door frame. I will also be wrapping and securing any loose wiring I find. What I would like to know, is whether I should use Dynamat or if there is a cost-effective alternative that won't compromise quality. I'd also like to know how much material to purchase. Can anyone offer some assistanceThanks!!

Improvment on rear suspension

I have a 2009 and just figured out it has torsion bar rear suspension. I didn't really factor this in when buying but now Im concerned about it. The GT and awd have double wishbone rear. Im wondering what can be done to improve the rear suspension on the car. Wishing I bought a vibe GT or 2008 chevy Cobalt ss. I like stuff that goes. Torsion bar to double wishbone conversion I know that has to be impossible but, Im just wondering.

The GT and awd have double wishbone rear. Im wondering what can be done to improve the rear suspension on the car. Wishing I bought a vibe GT or 2008 chevy Cobalt ss. I like stuff that goes.
Torsion bar to double wishbone conversion? I know that has to be impossible but, Im just wondering.

R.I.P Estelle Getty

Since nobody else posted this, I figured I would.Estelle Getty, best known for her role as Sophia Petrillo on "The Golden Girls" passed away yesterday morning from "natural causes."She was 84 years old. Four years older than the character she made famous over 20 years earlier.I confess that I became a big fan of this show in it's original run and have enjoyed it ever since.Even though she hasn't been seen in public in over a decade, I'm sure she'll be sorely missed.

Fan motor not working

Hi everone, first I want to apologize for posting in wrong topic (twice). Love this site. I have a 2005, and fan isn't blowing any air out. The air is working, but nothing out of the vents. It was working on and off on high, but it stopped. Any advise would be appreciated, and hopefully it won't be too costly. Also the yellow check light is now on. Thanks to all.

Oxygen Sensor.. Help me :)

Hello gents, I'm a newbie. I need help with how to change a o2 sensor on my 2006 vibe. Any help or links, would help. If this is something I can do with my cousin who's good with these things, or should I take it to a mech. I've been getting a P0171 code for a while now. and now my mixture seems to be off, trouble starting ( battery is fine, CAI, is tight, and working properly) basically when I gass it at 3k rpm, it boggs.. I"m thinking the mixture is off because of the O2. Any thoughts and help could help me greatly..Thanks.Rob

ceiling insulation

So I went to close the sunroof the other day, and the interior cover wouldn't close. After inspecting it, and yanking on it, I found that a strip of insulation had got stuck to the interior sunroof cover. The stuff they use to stick the insulation is freakin sticky, made a mess of the sunroof. Now I have a strip of insulation (see picture) that goes somewhere in the ceiling behind the sunroof. Anyone have any idea where it's supposed to go I'm tempted to just chuck it, to avoid having it come loose again and get sticky crap all over. Thanks.

Has anyone put a cb radio in their Vibe I have one laying around that I've been thinking about putting in the car just for fun.
