BEWARE!!! Test drove automatic VIBE w/clicking during stop and go driving , so passed on it . Dealer couldn't find problem , but was told by same dealership 5 other VIBES on their lot have same issue . The service center apparently told by GM not to resolve problem . Next , went to TOYOTA dealer and test drove automatic MATRIX w/ no clicking , so purchased it . Few days later in stop and go driving it emerges . Have been to 3 different TOYOTA service centers w/ no ratification . Also , discovered that out of state TOYOTA dealer has had 3 MATRIXes in shop w/ the click - clank noises and believe I it was the rear motor mount assembly on passenger side that was replaced and thus noise no longer exists . Have tried to tell local SHOPS which have heard the click-clank about the mounts ( no cost to dealer for parts and labor , since reimbursed under warranty ) and have been pretty much ignored . Even gave them the phone number to out of state TOYOTA dealer and refuse to call ( pride thing going on here ? ) . Also , went to another PONTIAC dealer and test drove 2 more automatic VIBES w/ salesman present in car and they too had the noises , but even louder and more often . If plan to purchase VIBE / MATRIX and test drive , try this in dealers lot / back street w/ very little noise to see if problem exists : 1.) roll down both front passenger windows . 2.) start car ( naturally )3.) put into reverse ; hard clunk / light click may be present 4.) when put into neutral , drive : click may occur ( while motionless )5.) put into reverse / drive , tap gas pedal w/ foot to move car : may hear clicking . NO GUURANTEE IF NOISE NOT PRESENT THAT MAY NOT ARISE AFTER PURCHASE OF VEHICLE ( our ordeal ) Good Luck

Please don't post identical topics in different areas, as they all end up back in their proper location: "Warranty and Maintenance Issues" and then cause there to be 10 threads all referring to the same topic.Your other post:http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=882Please refer to that post for other links to other threads on this board with the same problem. Members and visitors will venture to the correct area on the board pertaining to the topic they desire. We, of course, appreciate your posts and information on this topic! Thanks!

Dude, calm down. Just about every Vibe and Matrix does this. It goes away in time as the car gets broken in. Mine did it for a day and was gone. Bottom line = it's normal

Actually I'm glad he uses the search feature and directs people where to go. It makes my job alot easier and keeps multiple topics on the same subject down. It' also helps new users out and makes them aware of the search option.NovaResource by now you know your input is all ways welcome too though.
