stereo installation question

Post by jeff_j1701 »

Hey all!

I have an '07 Vibe and I had the factory radio replaced about 10 yrs go with a new radio.

The radio is a single DIN.

This radio is now pretty much dead and I want to replace it.

My question...

Do I need a new wiring harness or can I use the wiring harness that was used the 1st time I replaced the radio? I'm sticking with a single DIN.

Thanks!

Most probably not, unless it's the same brand and maybe same model replacement radio. Even then, features can change over a decade.

When I replaced my Vibe radio, I bought it from Crutchfield, and got a plug adapter that made connection easy. It was money well spent. I used to use a pigtail and splice into the car wiring, wire by wire.
