removing ceramic coat on cladding=---

Post by jamesmetairie »

05 (base) model , silver., 171,500. miles on it. We bought it 10 years ago with 70,000 miles on it.
This silver Vibe replaced a "totaled" salsa color 03.

This silver Vibe has the gray plastic bottom cladding.
I rubbed a coat of ceramic a couple of years ago.
What a huge mistake. It looked terrible from day one and never got better.

The company said try magic eraser with non acetone finger nail polish remover.
That job is in progress. One side was done a few days ago and topped it off with black magic trim stuff.
It is looking bearable .

I,ll update as time goes on.

Any way you can post pics before & after? Some folks like the unpainted cladding vs painted. Me personally, it all has to be same color of car (painted).
Hope you get satisfactory results and keep us posted.
