2003 base vibe. 144,000 miles on it. vibe totaled. engine still runs great.

eighth digit of vin # = 8.

anyone know if a 04 corolla with eighth digit= E can use the vibe engine?

You should be able to. There might be some small differences which at the moment I can't remember. We have some member use Corolla motors in the Mr-S. I think they had to tap the block for the mounts. You might not have to do a thing.

If you haven't found a definite answer, I bet the guys at MWR will know:

They're pretty responsive and helpful.
