Long story short, HP netbook all of a sudden ran like crap, did system restore, then this logo shows up only on hotmail EDIT: and yahoo. Never saw it before. A yellow background with what looks like a tire (?)Any ideas?

It's a favicon, but most likely it was one from a totally unrelated site, but your browser cache had some corruption, hence it was displaying on the wrong sites.Nothing to be scared about in itself, but I'd be concerned using IE in general due to security issues.

Thank you! That's what's weird...I've never seen it before on anything or anywhere but I will keep an eye out if it should happen again, I now know what to do to get rid of it. And yes, Jared scolds me all.the.time for the IE, but old habits are haaaaard to break.
