cotton gin poll?

Post by bassplayaz06 »

so for my drafting class, we had a debate today on who deserved the patent for the cotton gin. we came up with a decision on who really did, and were given an assignment to ask 25 people who it was.so... who do you think invented the cotton gin, and what race were they.

The first person that came to my mind was Eli Whitney (race: white)--at least for the cotton gin as we know it.

Back in the old times (1960's) in an all-white middle class school, the teacher taught us that it was Eli Whitney. But personally, I can't drink cotton gin. I think it's just too dry.
