OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I've been thinking about taking my cluster apart on my bike and swapping out the LED's from the orange, to red or white... I just haven't got the nerve to screw with it... I took some classes, and know how to do it, just never got the nerve to actually do it...

I prefer the red/white cluster myself, especially in my lava Vibe. That blue cluster would look sweet in your wave Vibe.

Yes,but I found out I can do it for $4 instead $150 and don't have to send it out to Las Vegas. Here's what they look like,Now,if you want to get rid of the red,you can scrape it off with an exacto blade to get the full blue effect. But I kept the red.

I just finished that.I cheated and used blue painters tape as a test.Works not bad.But I'm going to finish them up with some purple vinyl from a lighting store(they use it on stage lighting) for my desired color.Pop the cluster out, remove the needles, they just pull straight up,and the overlay comes off real easy and back that with the tape or vinyl.Take your time with it and it should be self explanatory, because it's not real hard.

It looks like you messed up on the tach needle. Or is just b/c you just started the car and the needle is idling high to warm up.

K, you're going to have to walk the rest of us through this. I just tried to "pop" the cluster out and i only got as far as half getting the "lenses" off of the cluster. It won't come out! I noticed that the cluster is almost adjustable and you can slide it back and forth; which I tried, but to no avail I could not get the lenses out, let alone the actual cluster.Any way you could post a how to with pics? Because your cluster looks clean man, I thinking of doing it green to match my car?!?!?P.S. nice paint job on the bottom half of our vinyl, I have the same deal going on and never thought of that, but you have given me some insight.

I did this to mine too. To get the lens off the gauges, there are 6 or 7 tabs that will need to be pushed. I started on the left and worked my way to the right. After the lens is loose, you will need to pull it out of the dash. It is a tight fit, but it will come out. Plastic off that surrounds the gauges and the lens snaps into, again with 6 or 7 tabs. After getting that off, I couldn't get it out of the dash so I just worked around it, pull the needles off the gauges. The gauge backing is done in 3 pieces. Take each one out, careful not to bend or scratch them, color the parts you want done. Put back together. The needles are the tricky part. Getting them back in the right place was tough. After I put everything back together, the needles kept slipping. It took a couple times of realigning them before they stayed put. Sorry I don't have pictures of this, I will see if I can get some soon.

Holy crap. You are correct,it's a XRS cluster.2 of us did the the swap at my house. That's actually installed in my Vibe just as a test.Learned something as well. The XRS,GT will run without the cluster but you get no lift( you get a soft lift).Strange but true.

After you remove the chrome circles(surround),1 screw center top, and 2 clips on the bottom removes the gauge cluster and then you can get at the wire harness behind the cluster.

Just remember,to use a thick deep vinyl. As you seen, the light passes through the tape and the vinyl is much more opaque.Did you have any problems with calibrating the needles?

The vinyl that's being referd to is called "gels" Stage lighting gels, and you could change the color to just about anything, as long as you know how to work a primary color chart... Great mod, I might have to consider it myself..

Just so people know with gels:In this kind of application, if it has surprise, no color, or CTC in its name, it isn't going to give you the color you think it will. Also, anything like minusgreen. If you are interested in doing this, you can contact distributors and either get a gel swatch book for a few bucks or free, depends on the place, and you can then see all the colors hands on.http://www.rosco.com/us/filter...olors
