I would not recommend wiring led's to these switches.Where are you wanting to put the LED's at? There will be another way to wire them up.Aron

Hi.I want to ditch the factory amp when I replace the factory HU. Do I simply cut the ends off of the cable bundles going in/out of the amp under the passenger seat, match the colors and crimp?Please advise.Thanks!

vibe_rator:I am considering doing the same thing. My new head unit is 200 watts so it makes the amp redundant. With the factory amp on, I can hardly turn up the volume on the head unit without it getting too loud. Do they make a harness for bypassing the amp or do I need to hard wire it myself. I know the wiring scheme going into the amp but does anyone know which wire goes to which speaker coming out of the amp?On another note, the only speaker with full range sound it the rear-right speaker. All of the others sound like tiny computer speakers. The sound is not scratchy like blown out speakers. All I can think of is that either the amp is sending bad sound or the speakers were changed by the previous owners to crappy ones. Bypassing the amp should narrow that down.

Anyone have an idea where the crossover is that sends the sound to the tweeters? Is it in the front doors or is it done by the amp?

Just a quick update... I bypassed the amp by matching like colors and it all went fine. The head unit is now directly connected to each speaker. I haven't wired the tweeters yet. I plan on getting a crossover and wiring them together with the front speakers.

Sorry I always forget to follow this thread Kinda late to the party but Metra and Best Kits both offer amp bypass harness for the Vibe, though I don't recall the part number, but the piece would have ran between $30-$50 depending on shop.Sorry I couldn't help sooner.Aron

Hi, audiovibe. Could you please post a wiring diagram for 2009 Vibe? I am trying to connect after market HU (so it turns on in accessory position) + bypass OnStar. Thank you very much in advance.Is it the same as on earlier Vibes? Accesory GRAY (+) RADIO HARNESS

My Chart says that it is gray; I thought the accessory needed to be tapped elsewhere though.Aron

Thank you Aron. Got your PM as well. Left you another one. Here is the problem i have:Vibe 2009, no M&T, stock HU is being replaced with Sony CDX-GT930UI + Metra's GMOS-LAN-01 GM data bus interface (the one that retains ONStar functionality that I don't really need). Everything connects and works ok but......in accessory key position radio does not power up even though all wiring connected properly according to both HU and GMOS-LAN-01 manuals and diagrams. I did solve that by connecting red wire that comes out from HU to yellow wire (battery?) on GMOS-LAN-01. With that setup I can turn on radio even if key is not in ignition because yellow wire provides power at all times. I just want to make things properly: HU should turn on ONLY in accessory key position. What can I do? Is there a way to connect HU without GMOS-LAN-01 (I don't need to retain OnStar) with some generic wiring harness for Vibe 09 or for that I need to tap in directly into harness for stock HU that comes out from Vibe's insides? May that generic connection (with OnStar bypassed) make new HU work in accessory key position or that's the radio design problem? Thank you in advance. UPDATE + SUCCESS: Finally I've achieved results that I needed - Sony CDX-GT930UI powers up in ACC key position and also works when engine is turned on. The catch was in GMOS-LAN-01 harness that connects GM plug with GMOS-LAN-01 box. GMOS-LAN-01 harness DOES NOT TAP into GRAY wire (thank you for wiring diagram) which provides +12 for ACC key position as well as +12 when engine is turned on.I've found that with help of cheap multimeter that I've got after your advise, measured voltage on each GM wire in ACC key position and with engine running, tapped directly into GRAY wire in GM wiring and connected it directly to RED wire on new HU harness supplied by Sony bypassing all GMOS-LAN-01 wiring (GMOS-LAN-01 harness -> GMOS-LAN-01 box -> GMOS-LAN-01 harness). BINGO! All works as intended, even Big Brother OnStar works ok, same as with stock radio.Thank you again.Stan

I'm trying to install an amp in my '09 vibe using the stock HU. I don't have M&T. My problem is that I have tapped into the GREY wire next to the BLUE wire in the HU harness assuming this would be Accesory power I need for the remote turn-on of the amp... Still the amp doesn't turn on. The amp is hooked up correctly and will power on with the high-level speaker connections but I don't want to run it this way. Is this the correct wire I need, should it be working? Thanks.

I would be interested in the wiring color and pinouts for the 09 Vibe with the Monsoon System. I would like to use the factory wiring to replace the AMP with my RF 40x4 amp (its kind a old but works great) so that way I only need to run new power. I know the sub is powered through it but the factory sub is going bye bye anyways.

HiI'm looking for the door triggers on my 2006.Note 1 in your list says i should isolate both wires, but as far as i can see,you've only listed 1. I've googled but the only place i can find isthe12volt.com and they only have one wire too.-edit-I hope I'm wrong, but: 1)there's no Red/Yellow wire on my kickpanel, there are a red and a yellow though. 2)also, the trigger button is connected to a red/white wire, which does not connect to my kick panel. If i disconnect all harnesses in my kickpanel, and push the door trigger, the dome light still blinks off and on. 3) the only green wire in my kickpanel connects to my left side power mirror.could someone please help?-edit-I see one door trigger wire headed to the back of my car under the side panel.

Post provided some of the information I was looking for. The following link has more details on dash wiring (turn signal colors etc):
http://www.the12volt.com/installbay/for ... ~TID~33385" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Its from the following site, which you need an account to use (appears its part of a dealer network):

I agree with the other posts, Sticky!

Hi, would you be able to get me a diagram of two particular connectors found behind the glovebox on a 09 Matrix (these are missing on the Vibe)

I really appreciate your help! These are the only two connectors that are preventing me from putting in a RS3200 Alarm in my Vibe!

THANK YOU!
