I think it would look cool if it were a bit more "professional" looking, that one looks too "Thrown together in my garage over the weekend" kinda look. That and all "Rally Wagon" really did was add stickers, the front lights (which looks like it was one piece), and the hood. The rest looks like factory stuff. But if it makes you happy, and it puts "YOUR" personality in a car, I say... RALLY VIBE IT UP!!!! lolHowever I love all the "little trees" he has hanging off his mirror. I love little trees, lol.Good luck with it. I think it's a cool concept. Do you have the AWD Vibe?

Adding a Brush Guard to the front of a vibe wouldn't really add much for the amount of work that would go in to making it fit. Anyway most rally cars today don't have anything like that... The only true way to make your car look like a rally car is to actually take it and drive it off-road...Also, while the AWD vibe would be good for rally, the FWD vibe woulds still work... Their are a bunch of FWD classes that rally in the dirt... The only real difference in driving one compaired to a AWD car is when you get to a turn you usually need to use the handbrake to claw your way around the turns...But if your just interested in looks... new rims, maybe some lights in the front and a rear spoiler is all you need...

I loved doing that in my old Tundra truck.

I really think that people need to lighten up. Not everybody is going to like everybodies style. Like I said, theres probably people out there who dont like what I've done to my car, but that won't stop me from customizing it how I see fit. This "rally" look isn't my style either, but if it helps someone enjoy thier car, I'm all for it.

If your car looks the way it does in your sig pic, there is nothing wrong with that it looks nice...but the 'rally' outfit on a none AWD Vibe? Thats not customizing... OP..If you want a car like that, why not buy that instead of trying to turn it into something its not.

I wish more folks would just approach this with a "different strokes for different folks" attitude, while I'm not a big fan of the rally look, I think it's cool someone thought enough of the look to do it to their vibe.Other folks may think my car is tame, but I like it, and if it wasn't for folks doing what they want, and what they like, without caring about others, we'd never have things like the tailight redouts (on my desk, waiting for me to figure out how to install them this long weekend)

I think that that a rally look could be pulled off if done tastefully and not over the top. I never really cared for Freestyle's hood scoop or wing. Both are too over the top for my taste. But other's seem to like it a lot. A smaller hood scoop that was painted to match the car whether it was a stick-on or integrated into the hood and fully functioning would look the best for my tate. It just depends on if you are going for Form, Function or both. I would prefer a low height paintable stick-on hood scoop over a full hood. A lot less cost and a lot less hassle.

The idea is actually a neat one; how many people do you see trying to make their cars look like circuit racers or "straight off the D1GP circuit"-ish? But, if you want to go for the rally look, this is what I would suggest (all out of my own mind, here, so take it or leave it): some of the OZ wheels (white, multispoke...I believe they are called the Superturismo) in either 15 or 16 inch sizes so as to leave enough sidewall for the "off-road worthy" tire look (or the smallest size, if above 15 inches, available), a small light bar on the hood with perhaps four lights (a brush guard is more of a four-wheeling accessory, in my mind and, like B4Snake said, a full-out brush guard isn't really a modern rally accessory) painted flat black, some kind of covers for the rear lights (again in black), and perhaps some discreet driver/co-driver decals. If you have the time, money, and inclination you could search for classic five-door world rally decal schemes and have a custom decal package made; it would be worth your while, from that standpoint, to have it as accurate as possible so your version of the car looks as accurate as possible. I recommend the late 80's Lancia Delta Integrale Martini scheme; a five-door and a true classic.

if a ford focus can be a rally car, so can a freaking vibe. it's not my cup of tea, but if you like it, do it, to hell with everyone else! subaru can suck it. sure, they are almost all amazing cars, but i also think they are all ugly. yes all of them.there are people out there who would make fun of me for putting loud (removed) duals on my family wagonish car, but what do i care? i like it and get compliments, i guarantee you, if you do the rally thing properly, you will turn heads.(had a couple beers)

LOL@Kevera pulling out the NOOB card..Doesn't matter if you just joined or or your a veteran member...your opinion still brings the same meaning so no need to be a tool and bring out the noob card. Straight up, yea its your car but if you do something asanine to your car expect to hear from both sides. If your going to actually offroad the Vibe, thats one thing, but doing it as a poser is ruining your car. The picture of the Rally Vibe in this thread would be ok if it was an AWD and not a fwd GT...

Well Freestyle doesn't have the Vibe anymore and he is not part of this forum either so don't worry about it Sublime.I'm going to have to defend Freestyle here because he is a personal friend. He did all the body work on his car with his own two hands, and that includes painting it, so EVEN IF you don't like his sti hood scoop atleast admire his hardwork and dedication to the car when he had it. Unlike most other people that would want that, would buy one of those 3M stick on fake sti scoops he actually cut into his hood and molded the sti scoop into it. You think an sti scoop on a Vibe is stupid and laughable, what about the people that put air bags or slam their pick-up trucks to the ground? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of having a truck if there are air compressors occupying the entire bed and it is 1/2 inch off the ground? Who cares.....it's the quality of work and individuality that counts the most in my eyes, not the fact that he "stole" another marque's signature hood scoop. In fact, I might just put an STI scoop on my Ducati....one on either side of the gas tank just for you! just kidding lol.BTW, anyone in here own a Cobalt? If so, Freestyle had a Cobalt SS spoiler on his Vibe too so set him ablaze with that as well!!!!Subarus are like Civics and Mustangs around my house, EVERYONE has them. I get sick of seeing everyone drive them around like they are the fastest cars in the world and they only paid $34,000 for it! I may not like them but I admire the engineering behind them so I don't bother saying anything....(besides my new Ducati can blow the doors off any sti, atleast that I've seen in my general driving radius and it cost me waaaaaay less and is probably more fun to drive ) And for the record I think Evos look alot nicer You are right, you can voice your opinion but no one's going to listen or care if you are hostile about it, so show some love

I guess this topic has become really heated.. Anyway.. Just some fuel for thought..Like I said earlier.. You don't need AWD to rally.. Some of the best drivers ever rallied with 2wd.. That was the norm before Audi devolved quattro 4WD back in the 80s.. Even today people still use 2WD to rally.. Wanna talk about weird rally cars.. Have you ever seen the Pikes Peak Rally? Everything from Motorbikes to big rigs rally up the mountain...http://www.metalmarks.com/press/030709hav.htmAlso, you don't need 300 hp to rally.. a stock vibe GT engine with a few upgrades... maybe pushing 220-240 would be perfect.. I mean.. 300 would be awesome, but HP means nothing if you can't put it to the ground. Another thing... That STI hood is awesome! That took a lot of work and it looks good.. STI's are nice for what they are.. Cheap performance cars.. If you really want to get a nice car.. your going to have to spend a lot more money and usually you'd need a lot of knowledge to build one. No production car is perfect. STI's combine common modifications and they make a good car for what its worth.. But its just a stock car.. and who wants that? Also.. one more thing about style.. Everyone has a different opinion. You're allowed to have it and to express it. I mean.. If you see a mod you don't like.. you can choose to say, hey I think that sucks.. or you could maybe not be an (removed) and say something constructive.I mean.. would you go up to an artist and say that their artwork sucked? I mean, maybe later on, but not to their face... Well, you car is like a canvas, you can do whatever you want to it.. and make it into whatever you desire.I mean.. my car looks awesome in my opinion. I got a roof rack with lights. Sure it looks sorta out of place on a car.. But do I really care? No.. To me, its awesome. And I've had people say they liked it, and more often then not, people say they would of done it differently. My next few mods are going to be to raise the car and put some Jeep tires on it.. Peace out~~~Jon~~~

first off i needed to make a new login as i havent been on here for quite some time but i am rally wagon
the car you are blasting was used in scca sanctioned road and off road rallys before the pos toyota engine blew in it.
i then put in a 2.5 subaru from a junkyard impreza and raced it in the open class until i recked it at the stpr rally in 07 from hitting a deer at 70mph .
