Is this going to be in affect this year. Because I would love to make it this year. I couldn't make it last year because of previous engagements and my Nissan was having mechanical surgery getting done to it. Inder

IIRC, this meet was always set up by rasermon. Since he's been absent for so long, if I HAD to GUESS, I would GUESS that this meet will not happen this year.In case you didn't figure it out already, THIS IS SPECULATION, I HAVE NO EVIDENCE TO SUPPORT MY THEORIES!

I would say forget the dealership this year and go to a park. Last year's turn out for the supermeet was depressing. I am totally happy with a park and barbeque. If we held it outside of hte dealership we could open it up to other cars as well like the Matrices/Scions/Corollas and who ever else wants to bring their rides. I had a few around my house with all different cars and they are a blast. I know it wouldn't really be considered a Vibe meet anymore, but atleast there would be a bigger turn out, you pickin up what I'm puttin down?I'll be there where ever it is, I'm just making suggestions. I might be able to coax my mom's b/f into stopping by to show off his Enzo or Veyron depending on when it's scheduled.
Regretfully, I only made Michigan one year, and it will likely stay that way. It's just far too much driving for me, and the risk of driving 14-16 hours for a pitiful turnout is not too encouraging. I'm still game for Ohio again though!

Yeah, that's what I mean, the Michigan Vibe scene is flatout dead for some reason so that is why the turnout was so low. I thnk making it an "any car goes" meet would make for a larger turnout since alot of members on here have work or whatever they do on Saturdays that they cannot seem to give up a few hours of to meet up with us. Or in your case Raging, the long drive if your frmo out of town, and you're right I don't blame you at all for not wanting to make the journey if it's gonna be such a low turnout. I bet this year would be even lower because no one from out of state would show up.I think it's kinda sad I miss the big meets we used to have with all the GM reps there and stuff lol....oh well, life goes on. Like I said, I'll be there regaurdless but I'm just making suggestions.

Granted, they were more likely than not there for the Grand Prix crowd, which had their meet in the morning before us, but still, for them to show up was impressive. Plus, we had so many cars, they couldn't all fit on the grass, and we had to start using the lot.I was quite shocked by the large turnout -- and it was a blast! I hope to have an equally large - or even larger! - turnout this year.Which reminds me Nick...have we set dates yet???

Sorry folks for being absent and only popping in once in awhile, but I have a very active schedule. I will make a post soon to see if members are still interested. I'll also be in contact with Nick and Aaron.Regards....rasermon

I think we should consider opening up to other cars and having it at a park rather than the dealership. Not only because of the small turnout, but the dealer got pissed when Nick and Kevin came in their Nissans.
Okay, it's been more than two months since this was last mentioned and I'm surprised no one has brought it up before me.So, will we have a super meet in Michigan this year? If so, it's going to be really short notice to have it in June as usual.
If the super meet is anywhere in between July 6th - 15th, i am definitely in. I will be up in MI during that time so one of those two weekends would be great.
I wouldn't recomend coming up from Texas. Last year's turnout was sad. The Michigan crowd is disappearing. I would hate for you to drive all the way out here for only 5-10 cars you know? Like I keep saying, I say we forget about the dealership and set it up at a park and just have a barbeque and we can open it up to all cars to get a great turnout. When I set up my monthly car shows I get about 15-20 cars every time.
Paul: WAIT WAIT WAIT!!! Your mom's bf has an enzo. ****, we should have the meet at his house lol I'm up for it, I work from 6:30 - 3pm every weekend, so im pretty much up for anything after that, just as long as its within the detroit/metro aera.dan

He has over 90 cars including an Enzo, Veyron, Carrera GT, Ford GT, Saleen S7, two F430s, all kinds of crazy cars. There's a small exotic meet at 14 and Woodward every saturday morning at the model car shop parking lot. He brought his Enzo up there a couple weeks ago....there was also a Vector W8 Twin Turbo there.
Hey, I've been trying and we had one last month Since the Michigan crowd is dead we have to consider opening the supermeet up to all cars in order to get a worthy turnout. The first year I went there were like 40 some Vibes there. Last year there were only 8!!!!Of course the list of people was big but god forbid some of these people take a Saturday or Sunday off work for a few hours to come to a car meet! The out of staters I can understand because that's a long drive, esecially for such a small turnout but everyone in Michigan should have no excuse not to come unless there is an emergecy or they just don't care about cars and just look at their Vibe as a way to get from point A to point B which makes me VERY sad.

By the way ... is your mom dating a basketball player? lol. Anyways, you gotta let me see these cars in person, I'll pay you if you let me dan

No he actually worked his (removed) off for his money, he's not like celebrities and atheletes that get paid stupid amounts of money to play like little kids when in reality they should only be making minimum wage if that
Ok, seeing as how no one's taking initiative I might as well start setting it up....gimme a little bit of time to get the arrangements togather. I'm making it an any car goes meet so we will have a larger turnout. We'll have it at Stoney Creek Metro Park. $4 fora daily pass so it's not that bad. I'll provide hotdogs and we can barbeque there. They also have covered picnic areas incase it rains. I'll start a new thread with the details and maps and and dates. Standby...
Ok we'll make it July 14th. That's a Saturday. I'll start a new thread with info and contact info and directions. Hopefully this far in advance more people would be willing to come.
crap. thats the same day of the big pittsburg matrix/toyota meet. im not sure of the turnout because of the 16 page thread i dont want to read on matrixowners. but it looks like its better than last year. which was pretty good. i wish i didnt have to chose but if i do its pittburg.
look my sniggies, i had a strizz-oke in my brizz-ain okay, you know what im saying. so i cant move all good. but thanks for mentioning that .thank you very much.athf4evr. click here! you know you want to!!!
I will definitely be there. Hoping we can get some of the Candians to come since it is just right across the border. I think i am looking at a 12-14 hour drive but it will be worth it.
I'm pumped. I didn't make it to last years, and I've only been to one get together that you can barely call a meet. As soon as I hear a date, I'm requesting that day off work.
