sport pkg. splash guards? and pics of my vibe

Post by vibe4benny »

Hi, I am a long time reader of genvibe and a first-time poster. I've had a vibe since 7/03. I just got the sport package installed on my vibe and the vibe splash guards I have no longer fit because of the new rocker extensions and rear fascia cover. Does any1 know of a site that sells splash guards that would fit a sport packaged vibe? or of a site that can create a custom splash guard? are there any vibe owners with sport pkg that have guards on their rides? I appreciate any input Also, I wanted to post some pics of my silver vibe sweetheart I only have the windows tinted 50% cuz of law, but will prolly darken it in future. Also, as you can see, i got 18's with Kumho 712 tires, bright blue grafxwerks overlays, 3 1/2 inch silver antenna and silver grille. I was thinkin about lowering it 2 inches, but with Ohio winters, it wouldnt make much sense! I hope you guys like it Lemme know what yall think!

Luckily, I didnt have to pay anywhere near that amount. GMpartsdirect.com had a SUBSTANTIALLY lower price, so I bought it from them...no problems...no regrets.benny

i believe retail msrp is $1890 for satellite, abyss, or salsa. primered parts are maybe $150 less, so it's not much of a difference. how much was gmpartsdirect?

lol its funny, about a month ago, gm had the satellite sport pkg listed at $2165 http://www.gmgoodwrench.com/gm...80933 Now, it is like $1600, nearly $600 cheaper So i only ended up saving a few hundred bucks. I guess thats better than nothing, tho benny

Man, I think after hanging out on this site for as long as I have is rubbing off on me. I actually really like the look of that sport package on the satellite! I think it's the fact that you haven't lowered it - it gives the impression that it's somewhat lower to the ground without making it look like a hovercraft. A lovely mid-point - I think it looks great.I love the rims too - if only I could justify the money for those + 18" tires... I haven't seen that modified antenna before - can you post some info on where and how much $?

Hi again and thx for all the compliments, yall. Im glad u like my vibe!My next modification is to paint my calipers and maybe the rear brake drums. i know people have painted ttheir calipers, but i dont see too many with drums painted. y is that? i bought the same kit as Hope did on ebay...G2 painting thingamajig, cept mines is blue, to match my grafxwerks overlays. i also want cai, but prolly next summer. and maybe 1 or 2 more overlays from grafxwerks. and i'll try to get a cardomain page up when i get a chance.Quote, originally posted by Keely »I haven't seen that modified antenna before - can you post some info on where and how much $?I actually bought the antenna at...EBAY cost me about $15Heres a link to the seller (from germany) i believe http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...33639 I havent had a chance to test the reception on all the Fm stations, but on the 5 or 6 stations i do listen to, it sounds just like the stock antenna. I havent tried Am stations yet, but im sure they will sound the same.

I just checked the sport package price.....the abyss is $1818 and the satellite is $1350...(removed)? are we to believe that black paint costs almost $500 more? I don't get it. Maybe it's a demand thing.
Sold the vibe.Sorry, GM. I bought an Acura.
