More likely than not next year...don't want to inundate the summer with rallies...if you have too many not enough people will be able to make them...

Well, I was VERY close to just killing the entire idea of a Jersey shore rally...but a certain someone prodded me enough to reignite my motivation...I will be on the phone with Cape May tomorrow...If I can't get satisfaction with them, however, I will have to relocate the meet...Stay tuned for details...

UPDATE:So, I've lived in Jersey my whole freakin life, and never been down south...apparantly, there are SEVERAL towns with the name Cape May!Cape May Point is allegedly a small town with 600 homes and a single solitary business -- a general store. No beaches, no nothing..Cape May CITY has a nice long stretch of main street, beaches, hotels, etc.I called a person at the civic board of Cape May City, he will call me back. If things go the way I hope, the Vibe's will get a prominant spot right on a stretch of Main Street for our "show!"Stay tuned for more details!!!

Ok!We're making progress...Talked to a guy in Cape May City today, he's going to look into finding us "show" space and rooms...They have a downtown "mall" area where they usually have antique car shows, but those are limited to 40 cars...he's gonna see if they can accomodate more (since I don't know how many are going yet) and get back to me next week...Stay tuned in!

Cape May city couldn't have us -- not enough room. They directed me to Wildwood city convention center. The convention center wanted $2500 for just half a building. They suggested a park in Wildwood, across the street from the waterfront...I've sent off a letter to the town commisioner requesting use of the space. Awaiting a response...

Well folks, it's with great regret I announce that I must CANCEL the 2005 Jersey Shore meet. Due to a mix of both personal and logistical reasons (mainly, no city seems to want us), I just can't see myself finding any place to meet on time, and still have people book hotels.I hate to do it, but we'll make a killer Western PA meet instead. I'm going to start working on Jersey Shore 2006 by mid summer, so we won't hit any snags come next year!
