$1.96 in Toledo Saturday morning before I headed out to NJ. Then sticker shock when in Pennsylvania on the I76 turnpike :o Anywhere from $2.58 to $2.69. Good thing I did not fill up in NJ as I was told that it is one of TWO states in the country that mandate FULL service and they must fill your car, not you!

Wow! Prices rose here for the past couple months but are now dropping again.

I definitely would not be happy having some random gas station attendant have to fill my Vibe for me :|.

old thread bump,

In mid Feb, about 6 weeks ago, I was thrilled to find gas in Dahlgren VA for $1.999/gal, where it was at best $2.35 on my side of the Potomac.

Today, I filled up for $1.779 I haven't seen gas that cheap here in over 11 years (I kept records, it was 29 Jan 2009)

I know a lot of you are paying less, MD has non-trivial gas taxes, so humble me and let me know how cheap gas is where you are

$1.49 in a town north of Tampa. $1.73 at Sam's near me. What I love best is not having to deal with the vapor recovery devices on the nozzle.

$1.24 at Costco here in Toledo :o It will likely continue to drop as more people are being mandated to STAY @ HOME. Our vehicles simply will not need to be driven as much thus not needing the weekly or so refueling. Supply clearly is taking over demand right now and the price will continue to drop

Nothing that cheap around me. $1.87/gal but it is always about $0.10 higher in the town where I live. I wonder what they are doing with the expensive alcohol now that the gas is so cheap? More tax dollars at work turning food into alcohol for fuel to mix with gas but I doubt the refinery is added much alcohol to the fuel right now with cured prices so low.

I do find it amazing that the price of oil for the past year has hovered around $57 a barrel. Locally, we've been seeing gas prices about $2.60 per gallon during that time. Now oil is at $20 a barrel. Funny how we don't see a near equivalent 1/3rd cut in gas prices.

$1.85 for 92 octane here in Charlotte at the Costco.

Gotta love the Saudi vs. Russian under cutting each other in the time of global low demand.

Basically the same here. We were hovering around $2.90 or so until recently. We still have only dropped to about $2.35.

You can use this web site or their app to check gas prices around the US. I have used their trip planner, as it tells you where to stop for the best prices using your cars gas mileage rating and tank capacity to figure the best points to stop at for pricing and range of your vehicle.

https://www.gasbuddy.com/home

These are pricing reported by people that use the gasbuddy app so as prices change throughout the day, it can get updated.

I use gas buddy all the time but have noticed some annoying trends. First, as you pointed out, we are relying on customers to report the prices each day. There is no way to know when the last report was made. Second, there is a lot of missing data in their system. For example, I have a Mobil station near me that is just about as cheap as Sam's Club but their numbers rarely get reported on the gas buddy website. And lastly, when you do a search based on your area code, the list that somes up does NOT match the results for the same stations when using the map function on the gas buddy website. It is very annoying because I prefer the map view to quickly scan an entire metropolitan area versus guessing where a gas station is located based on some street name I may not be familiar with.

Probably the $$$ is needed to pay for the huge construction project "somewhere" up in the mountains in the outset of Pittsburg area. I was told it's a 45 to 60 minute bus ride up to this site (your time) then same ride back to the parking lot, and is a nasty work environment. Fracking, refining, not sure??? Friends of mine talked about this job and wanted me to join them there. NOPE ! Pretty sure it's a URC project.

I am curious about that. I haven't heard of any construction going on near Pittsburgh from URC. I believe they have like a transfer station/holding station thingy near Butler, PA. Which is about an hour outside of Pittsburgh.

gasbuddy.com tells me it is $1.61 at Sam's Club. I decided not to go out and check it for myself :o
Geez, I was just looking at the gasbuddy heat map. Does everyone from Chicago drive up to Wisconsin to get their gas? What's up with that? Do they not have any gas tax in that state to make it so low or do they have a direct pipeline from the Dakota oil fields?

And someone nicely left their credit card in the machine for you to fill up for free
I've noticed that the price gap between premium and regular has widened considerably. Is that due to low demand for premium driving up the processing costs? As I recall, the price gaps used to be only 5-10 cents more for mid grade and then another 10-15 cent markup from mid grade to premium.

Drove to the next county over for a job, and then filled up at the Buck-ee's. (Not the ethanol free, that'll be for the new car).

$3.059 per gallon for 87 octane.

Mind you, some places in Houston it's closer to $3.89.

$5.06 for 93 today. Might not be too bad, however...

As I looked back through my records, the previous high for 93 was $4.37 in 6/2014. For 87, that was $4.27 in 6/2008. That would be $5.54 and $5.19 in today's money, respectively.
