Now I have four Vibes, back down to three.

Post by kc6yot »

I have been looking for a long time for another Vibe for my youngest daughter. Well I found one, 2005 moon and tune for $2,600.00 silver, 146000 miles. Now I have 4 of them next got to figure out how to photo shop my picture to add the newest one.

This may be the single biggest reason for all of the Vibe shortages. I too am a Vibe Hog an 04 (son) 07 (son) 07 (wife and the first we bought in 08) 09GT (Me) I have been trying to think of what we will get to replace them when we have to but as well these cars run it may be a wheel chair ;)

Congrats! :D Sounds like you got a good deal on it. My wife already thinks I'm crazy since I replaced our wrecked second Vibe with a third one. She finally told me Ok, but try not have two of the same color! Since then I've thought about getting my almost 15 yr old twins another Vibe when they start driving, or giving them the 03 GT and buy myself another 09-10 GT. For some reason these cars really appeal to me!

Good luck with the new addition to the family!

I knew it would be a matter of time before you found another one. Congrats and looking forward to a family pic of all these Vibes! I like the "shortage" comment  My wife won't give up her G8Gt for nothing out there. Can you blame her! She does drive one of our Vibes if we have her car trapped in the garage

I'm sure my 06 base will still be running great when my now 2yo is ready to drive... Maybe I'll give her this one and buy myself a nice new one. ;)

An 05 for $2600? That puts my 03 for $3600 to shame. (But, I'm still pleased with mine! Even with the trip cost to fetch it)

But, private parties want $3600-5200 for 03-05'ish Vibes around here with rebuild/salvage titles. That's why I went clear to Dallas Ft-Worth to get one. Clear title ones with under 150k like I got, people want $4500-6000 here. There is an '06 listed by a dealer for $4000 but the odometer picture shows over 205k miles, despite being the only horribly blurry picture (on purpose?).

Dealers with 03-05 vibes with under 150k want $6000-7000 for them.

A 2005 GT with M/T and almost 250k for $5,000. https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/ctd/5363184495.html

That is the best deal I have ever seen, great score. Cool rims too. I actually like the grill lines of the 03/04 over the 05 to 08, well the 09 and up is another story and car. Pretty white, roof rack, rims to die for, How many miles and is it a 03 or 04?

had about 100k miles. its a US car from nebraska, actually, and was imported into canada back in 2005, iirc

it has a rebuilt title and the paint was so filthy when i got it, i thought the clear coat was gone...

i actually got the rims from a friend off his matrix, popped on some used coilovers, did a retrofit to the headlights and thats about it.

its a GT and the previous owner had put a K&N intake on it

i drive it 110km each way to work 3 times a week, so it runs really well.

If it's any consolation, you are not the only family with four Vibes. I have an '03 GT (Raven), and an '07 Base (Robyn). In addition to these, my brother bought an '03 Vibe (Simone), and my Mom just bought an '05 AWD (Neptune). Of course, we HAD to take family photos. Here is my favorite from the family get together.

This just in: Barber gets an entire car in good shape for the price I can get only the transmission and related parts from a salvage vehicle.

I'm looking at an 04 base for $750 right now as a "4th" Vibe. Bad thing is no title, no keys. Don't know if it is worth it or not, but for that price, it is worth a look.

If all else fails, may be a good price for a parts car.

The oldest daughter with the 2004 AWD hit a deer the weekend before Halloween (center). They traded it in for a Chevy Cruse, she and her husband got more for it on trade in that it would cost to repair. Guess actually I have been down to three for a while, as I sold it to her for a $1.00 a year ago. Still have three in my name. 2006 moon and tune, 2005 moon and tune, and a 2006 base. Looking to sell the 2006 base, southern car no rust the one on the left, 5 speed manual, added the cruse control per this site.
