I wanted to post a mod I performed on my 2010 Base model Vibe, 1.8 liter. I had the fixed delay wipers, non adjustable. I bought a $55.00 switch from Amazon and installed it today. I did not remove steering wheel, carefully used a pic to separate upper and lower steering column covers, unplugged 2 electrical connectors, used the same small pic to disengage the claw/retainer for the wiper switch, slid new switch in until it locked/clicked in place, reconnected plugs, installed steering column covers and done. The wipers now have the full delay range, like the 2.4 liter models and GT models. The part # switch was AC Delco D6334E, GM long# 19184827. I may try to sell my old switch on ebay to recoup the 55 bucks, or some of it anyway. Happy Holidays/Merry Christmas!!---Frank
ps-tried to post pics, which I did take, it wouldn't let me upload them, I will send anyone who wants the few pics I took

Glad it worked out for you Tony. I think I will do the fog light upgrade too. I am definitely doing the polk db651 speaker upgrade very soon, waiting on the weather to improve so I can have the doors apart outside to do it. The wiper delay uprade was so worth it for the cost, esp. if you are on the highway a lot. ---Frank
My parts will arrive today I guess so I will do it in the weekend.
It would be very helpful if you give more details about "carefully used a pic to separate upper and lower steering column covers" - where did you apply the pic? I don't want to break the plastics!
As for the speaker - are they drop fit? No drills no hardwares?
Hi Tony how'd you make out with your install? Did you find any problems with your relay? I hear mine click faintly when the wiper operation commences during delay operation but I've been an auto mechanic for 25 plus years and the click is pretty faint to me lol. Hope all is good on your mod---Frank

Hi Frank,
The click is same with my old and new wiper control when in delay operation so no surprise here.
However what surprise me is, it sounds the relay is assembled inside the wiper switch! Because I can feel the click with my hand.
That's why it sounds. And seems no way to improve it, unless I disassemble it and put damper material into it.
4) Now turn the steering wheel until you can access to two holes in the picture, and then use a small screw driver to disengage the clip. You may want to pull the lower cover when doing so, so the covers will fall out. Please use some tape on the screw driver as you can see I have scratched my clip.

5) Press (hard) the clip to loose the wiper switch.

6) Take out the switch and loosen the wire hardness.

Great Pics and write-up Tony, wish I had figured out how to upload the ones I did, your additions to this topic will help anyone who performs this mod to their Vibe, thank you!!
Awesome tutorial Tony Those pics REALLY tell the whole story and make this mod a snap for anyone out there wanting to upgrade their wiper system. Seeing how I have the GT trim, I won't need to do this to mine. Just had to give you the "atta boy" & pat on the back for posting this. Examples of this are why this GenVibe site is second to none and we all look out after our fellow GenVibers

ebay. Rockauto has the part in their catalog but it's been out of stock forever. Here is one that will work: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/04-09-TOYOTA-PRI ... 1785821563 If you don't want or need the fog switch on the turn stalk, then you don't need to use it.
Remember, you need to take off the steering wheel to change the turn stalk. But as described above, you don't need to do that if you're only changing the wiper control.
