I forgot. I got lighthouses, but won't be able to get a pic before Thursday. I am not calling dibs on this, and hopefully someone will beat me to it

Well, it's really up to Gekko. The decorative one is only a couple feet high. Not very big, but if Gekko okays it, I'll get the picture with it and my Vibe within the next day or two.

A lighthouse is a lighthouse. Whether it is 3ft. high or 8 stories high. Its still a light house. What would be funny is if you turned your car into a lighthouse with that 3ft. one.

Google says that there's a lighthouse in Calgary. It's been hard to pinpoint its exact location as I haven't found it on street view or google earth... There are pics of its relative location though.

Turns out most of the lighthouses around here are on spits of land or out in the middle of the bay and hard to park close enough to to get a pic of both the lighthouse and the car.

This lighthouse is the Cove Point lighthouse, relocated at some point to the Calvert Marine Museum in Solomons, MD.

The next challenge is a picture of some part of your Vibe (or other car, I guess) that shows wear, tear, or abuse. For example, this picture of my driver's floor pan shows wear on the clutch pedal and the carpet to the right of the accelerator, tear in the floor mat, and abuse by how generally dirty it looks. The challenge is wear, tear, or abuse, my picture happens to show all three, yours need only show one of the three. As before, you may need to click on the picture to see it all

Abuse: A large puddle orginally tore part of this heatshield down. I've repaired it several time but it keeps vibrating itself a bigger hole and has finally collapsed. It's loud and annoying and I need to remove it before it removes itself...

I got it. An hour and a bit later one way road trip and I was able to get it.

My Vibe in front of the sunken and partly salvaged Weehawk Passenger Ferry just west of Cardinal Ontario in the St. Lawrence River.

My car is there. The official plaque showing it's information and just in the backgrowund, you can see the salvaged part of the bow.

All the forts near me are active, and I'd get busted trying to take pictures of their perimeters, so I am out of this one.

Yah. the one I went too is a historic landmark. I was only able to go there when it was closed or I was in big doo doo. haha

Google Maps search... Your location, then search forts. You never know what you will find even in the middle of nowhere.

Now I am confused. KITT222 posted a challenge of vibe "surrounded" by trees, and WIngnut posted a response picture of a Vibe "surrounded" by trees and in a creek with the next challenge of a Vibe in a creek. Is the current challenge a Vibe in a creek or a Vibe near a tree? I can do a VIbe in the woods, but this thread is not worth it to me to drive the car into a creek. I am not sure just what the current challenge is.

I can do the bike in the trees, was there yesterday, but not so much the car right now (tires being bald and such).

There are no creeks around here at the moment, all rivers and some flooding...

If this challenge hasn't been met by next weekend I'll test out the new rubber and give everyone something new!

Assuming that pic meets the challenge, then the next challenge is a macro shot of a missing paint chip on your Vibe. This should be relatively easy, how about you regulars hold off a day or two to give someone new to jump in. Finding the appropriate location is token simple for most of us, these are Vibes, the paint chips easily. The only challenging part is to figure out how to use the macro setting on your camera

Here is my paint chip, with a US dime for scale, and I took this pic this morning

( I guess a spectator challenge is to stare at that paint chip pic until you see the crater as a blob of gray goo sitting on top of the paint)

Here it is!

As you can see, I managed to find not one, not two, but three chips in close proximity! These are on the hood, with a Canadian dime for comparison.

Challenge picture should be up by tonight.

CHALLENGE: Take a picture of your car inside a car wash. Can be the automatic-wash or the do-it-yourself ones. This might incite someone with a dirty vibe to clean it

which is always a good thing.

That limo is impressive, I don't think we have anything around here that can even touch that. I'll keep an eye open though, the most outrageously modified car around here that I can think of is a riced out sunfire with a roof scoop
