It was a hard decision for me. I remember looking at the instructions, and the diagram showed one of the primary positions on the lower inside. I was assuming they were showing an illustration of the driver's side mirror. If they were showing the passenger's side mirror, then it would be on the lower outside. Then I had a thought. A nefarious thought that would rock the foundations of the earth,...or at least here in America and Continental Europe. What if they were really showing an illustration of the driver's side, but a right handed drive British/Asian side mirror? OOOhhhhh, spooky!
My reality will never be the same.
Not sure where they put the steering wheel in China, but everything, including those side mirrors and instructions, are made there.
With using the alternative side mirror adjustment method, where would be the best place to place those mirrors?
Jazzvibe, I hear ya, I would drive around looking for the right traffic conditions, and would be looking at traffic on side, behind, and oncoming as they pass with both side mirror and convex mirrors trying to figure it out. Also would pick out landmarks like signs and posts as I pass to see which would reflect them first. Good thing I did not rear-end somebody while looking at my mirrors. Also spent some time in parking lots looking at lines and curbs. Did some backing up and parallel parking. Insanity. Still not sure of the placement.
