2009 vibe spark plugs

Post by Rusty H »

Hi Everyone, Can anyone tell me if there is a special tool to take out the spark plugs on my 2009 Vibe 1.8 lt. engine. After removing the coil the biggest socket that will fit in the hole is a 9/16 and it won,t work. .... any info would be very much appreciated. Rusty H

9/16 should be the right size, maybe try a 14mm. Deep socket of course.

Yea Make sure its deep socket with the Rubber Spark Plug boot makes pulling em out real easy.

...a "redneck" alternative to the deep-socket with rubber "spark-plug" insert is just a 6-8" length of 1/2-inch INSIDE diameter tubing of some sort....makes inserting & removing spark-plugs easy!
