This: http://www.clarion.com/us/en/p....htmlSounds awesome, better than the stock radio (if you can believe that). It paired well to my Droid X so now I have bluetooth tunes. I have the USB cable sitting in the glove box so I can toss an IPOD on there if I get the urge.Install was easy; Crutchfield supplied all the brackets/wires/instructions.Will
Wow...tough crowd tonight!!! Ffffiiiinnnneeeee.... I took a picture. Tis attached.I did get it from Crutchfield. I like the whole "everything you will need in one package" approach.Cost me 199.99. No tax/shipping.Install was a snap.

HD is really cool if you're in an area with a decent selection of stations. I have a JVC with HD in my Vibe now--it was great in Tampa but here in AL not so much.
the plug on the back of the radio is vastly different than the plug on the wiring harness. You will have to pull the wires out of the vibe harness and run them manually into the harness for the radio. All the crutchfield adapter does is make it so you don't have to hack the stock adapter apart. If you need help with the wiring let me know, I still have the instructions.
yeah i know its already like that thanx to the previous owner. trust me right now that is easier than using the harnest. some cables he cut so short away from the harness he added "extensions". its a really bad job i would have to get the whole thing rewired :/

The radio has 700+ possible color combinations. You can scroll through them or just alter the red, blue, green numbers directly.I turned them to zero and red to 8 and it looks really close. Now I need to turn down the brightness of the radio to match the Vibe or turn up the vibe's lights to the level of the radio.
Wow that really does fit in well with the typical gauge lights of the vibe. Is that a joystick in the middle to control the FWD and RWD of the device?

Nope, not a joystick. It is a whopping big volume control. The arrows at the 4 quadrants around it are 4 switches you depress to move around tracks and change settings.
I routed the 3 foot or however long cable they supplied to the glove box and have it laying in there. When I leave my ipod in the car, I don't want it in sight so it can now hide in the glove box with the mice.
And that's why I went through Crutchfield They have awesome support. Mine doesn't have anything fancy like touch screen so it should be fine. Just buttons and knobs.
I also went through Crutchfield but the receiver failed after the warranty from them had ended. Anywho, Im gonna get a different one soon anyways. The GPS on mine updates to slow and along with its other problems warrants a new one soon. Im leaning towards one of the new Pioneers with Pandora support.

Thanks for sharing, if you still have install instructions I'd appreciate, my Clarion CX501 just arrived, its probably very similar. I dont have the adapter harness, so i guess i just need to manually cut wires from stock hu and connect to wires on the 8 pin harness for the CX501
I don't have the instructions anymore, sorry. You can buy an adapter from Crutchfield if you don't want to cut your harness. If not, I found this online:http://www.clarion.com/us/en/M...1.pdf
