When they come in make sure they are real Teins. The logo should be printed right on the spring, not a sticker. I paid $145 shipped for H-Techs a couple of years ago, but they have gone up in price - they would be $224 shipped from where I got them.

Yeah I saw the article on the fakes I found a place in my province and they list them for 205 Canadian which seems good. I emailed them for a shipping quote.

hey, i have a quick question. i am looking at putting on the tein h tech lowering springs as i dont want a big drop but i want to clear somehting up. it seems as if the tein h tech springs for the matrix have alittle more drop (front - 1.7, r 1.5) as opposed to the vibe h techs (f 1.4, r 1-3). i would prefer the h techs for the matrix because it is a little more drop but not too much or too little.does it matter which one i get? they should fit the vibe as well right?thanks for your help

I don't know why they list them as two different heights since they are the same part number. The Matrix can't be that much heavier...But to clarify, they are the same spring.

Wow, that is a nice price (plus $25 shipping for me). A quick check shows the Teins claim a 2"/1.9" front/rear drop and Eibach Sportlines are a 1.8"/2.1" The Teins sound like what I want. Kevzaz - do you not have lowering springs now?

Great thread. New to the group and just starting on my 2005 Vibe.

Need tires first so ditching the stock rusted steel wheels for Enkei J10 (16x7) / Pirelli CINTURATO P7 in a few weeks.

I am planning Springs/Shocks in the fall. Like I said I am new to the Vibe, but I have used H&R Sport springs/Bilstein Sports in the past for VW's and BMW's. Any experience with this combo for Vibe.

Just curious.

I have a 2009 Vibe and looking for some lowering springs. My search has solely been on ebay or amazon. I've not been successful on these sites in finding springs that would fit. Can anyone volunteer what they have purchased and installed? Help!

Hello all, looking at spring listings and they all say FWD. Does our 2005 AWD use the same part? Trying to decide between H Tech and S Tech now. Thanks, great site

I searched for two days before my initial post and have been searching for three days since. I have found that Manzo springs are listed for Matrix AWD/FWD. I have found that the AWD may like stiffer rear spring rate.

I believe http://www.canuckmotorsports.com/ has lowering springs for the AWD.

As far as I know, the FWD springs should suffice. However, it would drop the AWD even further than a FWD. The AWD Vibe sits about 0.50-0.75" higher than the FWD. So instead of a typical 2-2.25" drop, you would likely be closer to 3". I haven't a clue how that may affect the drivetrain since it is AWD.

A two inch drop looks good, but is quite a bit lower than stock monster truck status.

Canuck AWD springs are discontinued.
I’m not following the logic of the added 1” of drop for an AWD, are you saying the AWD sits higher because it has longer springs?

Yes, the AWD sits higher as it has taller/longer springs than the FWD. It has one extra coil compared to the FWD.

Yes, several. The Rally Vibe GT is running AWD springs, since it sits higher. My brother put AWD springs on his FWD so it sits higher now too.

But they all run the same struts?
Is the ride height listed anywhere?

Strut bolts up the same, but probably is slightly longer. Spring definitely is.

No idea. You'd have to search part numbers to determine.

It cost me a lot to find out a while ago on my 2004 awd. I had put H techs in my awd they were horrible. They were probably only meant for the weight of the fwd. The front bottomed out at freeway speed. I got eibachs for it and the rear was still sagging too much. I finally installed a set of stock fwd springs in the rear with the eibachs in front. This ended up being perfect height and ride for my needs (you may have different opinions)Image. I had 1” spacers front and 2” rear. (2” is probably too much but it looks cool)
