i have a new 2009 vibe that has all kinds of irrating noises coming from the dash area . i am going to take it back to the dealer and have it looked at. dont really want them tearing into the dash , but i hate driving it with all the rattling going on. if they cant build it right at the factory , what are my odds of getting a dealerships mechanic to find the rattles and fix them without causing more of the same. should have bought a honda
750 miles later mine is fine. I am going on a road trip from Cincy, Oh up to the top of Michigan this coming week. will report anything unusual when I get back.
I have 6,000 miles on my vibe, so far it has been rattle free. My 07 vibe had rattles as soon as a couple of hundred miles, and the dealer took care of those for me.
You never know, it might have been a Monday when your Vibe was assembled. Besides, no matter how good quality control is, there will always be a certain percentage of cars make it off the line with bugs, defects, or rattles. This happens with any manufacturer, even Honda.
Mine started to rattle after 700 miles. I fixed it by pulling out the plastic part of the gauges. After I reinstalled the part, everything has been fine.

Very true, doesn't matter what kind of car it is, there is always going to be a small % that comes out with some defects.

Try to isolate the rattles to give the dealer a better idea of where they are coming from. Believe it or not there is a section in the service manuals addressing Squeaks and Rattles and the different kinds of covered tape and things that can be used to quiet them.
