Pontiac should recall this vehicle for Poor Dash board construction

Post by yank dini »

Yet another VIBE owner with a squeaking dash board. WHEW!! thought I was the only one because I noticed it only days after Circut City Roadshop "Ripped out my radio and other things" to get aftermarket audio in the vehicle. I began to think they were the cause of that. If all these folks are having problems with the dash, just think how many other owners that aren't registered here are having the same problem. Looks as if this will be the second recall for the VIBE. YOUR THOUGHTS???

Has there ever been a recall for dash-related (non-electrical) problems before? I have never seen a recall related to that. I would be interested if people really feel the need for a recall.

GM will never recall this. It isn't safety related, just poor assembly/design.

I didn't have any squeaking but the recirculate button on the a/c got stuck. It turns out the chrome bezel in the middle console wasn't put on perfectly evenly and they had to reattach it.

YES! I used the post and it rocked. Thanks so much for putting it out there. No more squeaks whatsoever.
