In reference to the difficulty getting repair parts for the Pontiac Vibe...the autobody tech at my local dealership called me yesterday and informed me that the last few remaining parts were not due to ship until AUGUST 26, at the EARLIEST!!! My car has already been in the shop for more than a month, due to my accident. Being extremely frustrated, I checked the back of my owner's manual for a Customer Service # ( I had talked to GM Customer Service several times...don't even waste energy with them! POOR SERVICE! ), and I discovered a separate number for PONTIAC Customer Service. I contacted Pontiac with my complaint and pleaded with them to get the parts there ASAP, by whatever means necessary...GM may have said August 26, at the earliest, but Pontiac is shipping them as we speak! Talk about a difference in the quality of Customer Service!!! I am *supposed* to get my Vibe back TODAY, according the the autobody tech, but will need to bring it back to them early next week for the expected parts to be repaired. FINALLY...I am seeing some kind of results ( I hope! ) so keep in mind...CALL PONTIAC CUSTOMER SERVICE, NOT GM...I don't know why there is such a vast difference, but they seem to be more willing to take action! the PONTIAC Customer Assistance Center Toll Free # is - 1-800-762-2737.
