Post by Mase »

A fellow matrix owner and I will be racing at the LACR drag strip in Palmdale on Friday, January 21st to test out the supercharger we will be installing this weekend. Anyone is welcome to come. Gates open up at 5pm and close at 10. I'll get there just a little after 5. It's $15 to race and $5 to watch. Check out http://www.lacr.net for more track details. He and I are having a friendly competition to see who will beat who.My '04 XRS's best run:15.3sec @ 92.7mphMy friend's '03 Base's best run (before the supercharger):16.4sec @ 84.5mph

I am going to try and make it...if I do, I probably wont make it till after 7. My only set back is that I just lost all my coolant and over heated a few days ago . It turned out that something hit my radiator and put a nice hole in it. I replaced the radiator, and all is well. I have run under boost again and it seems ok. I am just kicking my self for not catching the overheating sooner, and fear a warped head and impending blown head gasket. I will prbaboy make it. I hope it is not tooo crowded on Friday...It should be good for a few runs anyway....are you bringing a camera???? I dont have one. -Barry-

Sorry to hear about your engine dude. Hope you can make it. We usually stay all the way til closing so maybe we'll see you. I am bringing my camera. I always do. There are quite a few people over at matrixowners who are interested in seeing your car in action.
