SoCal: LACR drags meet WED DEC 15th

Post by Mase »

Hey guys,I just wanted to invite anyone who may be interested. A few guys from matrixowners are heading over to LACR up in Palmdale next Wednesday from 5pm to ~9:30pm. Cost is $15 for as many runs as you can line up for. More info at http://www.lacr.netI know the elevation isn't very preferrable but there's really nowhere else to run SoCal that's often open and free of long lines. The last time I was up in LACR, I got about 9 runs in about 3hrs and I took many breaks to watch the other races.Anyways, just thought I'd pass the word...

Cool! Hopefully I can make it, but I won't hold my breath. My wife likes to let me know about things that day! Let's see if anyone else here can show.

Sorry you guys couldn't make it. We had so much fun and the lines were, at most, 10 minutes long. I lost count of how many runs I put in. We didn't leave til 10pm.Conditions-Altitude: 2,710ft-Temp: low 50's-almost no wind, clear skiesMy best run was 15.3 @ 92.7mph(149.2kph) after altitude corrections. My good kills included:1. Turbo CRX2. Turbo Civic Coupe3. Honda S2000 (twice)4. M3 (terrible driver) I ran against a turbo Civic hatch twice that was hitting low 16's, but I missed 2nd gear on both of our runs . I was so pissed. I thought we were gonna go up for a 3rd time, but he didn't line up with me and I ended up running a 15.5 by myself which would have beat him A friend with a 1zz Matrix (I/H/E, chip) ran a 16.4 and beat a modified Integra.I can't wait to go out there again. I hope my clutch forgives me.

I'll probably go again sometime next month if the track goes back to their regular weekly schedule.
