Ohio Vibe Rally 2007 - interest?

Post by NSimkins »

FINALIZED (info below) -----Finally confirmed, the GenVibe Ohio Vibe Meet V 2007!DATESaturday, August 25th, 2007LOCATIONDan Tobin Pontiac2539 Billingsley RoadColumbus, OH 43235(800) 557-2084[more info]TIME11:00am - 5:00pmLODGING INFOMany of us stayed at the Courtyard Columbus Dublin (full info) last year. With reasonable rates for the area, this is the recommended hotel again this year. You're free to reserve here or any other location of your preference. This is the same location as the past 4 Ohio meets. Dan Tobin may be providing refreshments (not confirmed), but there are plenty of local food establishments available for lunch/dinner, or you can bring your own. We usually head out to a local restaurant after the meet (anyone is free to tag along, in fact, it's recommended!) Please confirm your attendance in this thread. Be sure to indicate if you can make it as well as an approximate amount of total people (include yourself). Confirm attendance by replying to this thread. Thanks and hope to see you there!HEAD COUNT:1. NSimkins2. Kari3. ColonelPanic4. kevera5. cooks1286. HEY!!! Count me in as well!!! The only dates I can't do at this point would be the weekend of Aug 4th and the weekend of Aug 18th.And yes, I know... I only seem to show up around vibe meet time... :-)But with a 2 year old running around the house these days, I don't have much free time.

It looks like Dan Tobin Pontiac is ready for us again this year. I'm looking at somewhere around mid-August, but am willing to get some ideas for dates within the next week or two before scheduling. Chime in with any opinions.

We had about 10 - 15 Vibes at last years meet, right? Like Kari said, we usually have a really nice turnout and Dan Tobin was really cool last year and setup a tent and provided food for us as well... probably helped that there was a Grand AM (I think that's what it was) Meet going on at the same time. Hope to see another BIG turnout this year!As for dates... mid to late Aug. is good for me.

I may need some help in finding a hotel in the area.I would also like to make this a huge meet, maybe we can set up a hotel and post a thread called "Hardcore Gen Vibers" so we can have members from other states attend.

I'm probably out for this year. My assistant turned in her notice Friday, so I will be running my department alone until I find and train someone. Even if I hired someone tomarrow, I wouldn't be able to leave them alone for 90 days......(probabationary period is mandatory)
