IF you need just the indicator and not the tube just go to a salvage yard and take one out from any 2.4L Matrix/Corolla/Vibe. Or get one new from a GM parts store online, price $12.89
I bought it and then noticed it had a “Ford” dipstick. Feel kind of stupid for not noticing before but I’d feel better if I knew I had the correct length dipstick in this engine.
There is a universal dipstick available, if you don't have another correct dipstick to compare it to, then dump and refill the crankcase one quart shy of capacity and mark that level as the add mark, then put the rest in and mark it again as the full mark. https://www.google.com/shopping/product ... Manual states 4.5 qts, but I thought there was a lot of discussion on this site that the manual wasn't correct. I filled it to just a hair over 4qts and plan on keeping an eye on it. I'll get the correct dipstick and use that fill level for the future.
