Thought I'd throw this up here as a feeler while I find a new daily driver.

    Black '03 GT, 173,XXX miles
    located in Indianapolis, IN 46280

    The good:
    -2zz engine runs strong
    -new alternator last year
-new timing chain tensioner last year
-New rear rotors/calipers/pads + ebrake pads last month
    -new windshield last month
    -a/c works
-a few little dents, and the paint on the hood is checked (you can't tell unless you're up really close) but overall, its a good looking car
-Goodyear triple tread tires have a lot of life, although one has a nail in it. very slow leak - maybe plug-able. '
-leather wheel/shifter/console top. the leather on the wheel and shifter is old and worn, but usable.
    -1.25" traler hitch mount

    The bad:
-window control panel on driver side door loose
-driver side floor mat has a heel hole in it
-could use LCA bushings before too long
-paint on the alloy wheels is flaking

    The ugly:
-Clutch wont disengage. It's not a hydraulic problem. From reports of other C60 transmissions, I'm guessing a part of the clutch disc broke off and is jammed in there. If this is the case, it will need a new clutch kit. Note: I am no specialist, and no bolts have been turned.. all I know for sure is that the clutch wont disengage.

I'm thinking $1500obo. no low balls please - I may part it or try to do the clutch myself before it comes to that. feel free to ask questions or send photo requests if interested.

That looks really nice. The 03 GT also was rated at the 180 HP, later years dropped to 173.

Not gonna buy it myself, but it seems it would be worth even paying someone to do the clutch. If not, looks like whoever gets it will be getting a sweet ride

    Thanks for the comment.

The engine is nice. Plenty of power. the VVTLi kicks in at around 6200rpm and runs up to redline at around 9000. still pretty fuel efficient. I was kind of surprised to learn that the head is made by yamaha, but I suppose it makes sense. Yeah, probably worth paying someone to do the clutch. If my suspicions are correct, it would probably cost between 900-1200, but who knows. After dropping a lot of $$ on the brakes at the stealership, I figure I'm at the break-even point. I told myself I wasn't putting another clutch in it, although I expected to get a little more life out of this one. (went in at 113k)

I love the car though. I think I bought it at 60k, and it's been great. Carried me back and forth from Indiana to california several times. If I can't sell it and find myself with some surplus bucks, I may have the clutch done or may attempt it myself. There's a pretty good walk-through here: http://wehavescissors.blogspot.com/2009 ... be-or.html

Although I do not need any more project cars, if you insist on selling it I may be interested. You're less than 4 hours away and easily could trailer it home. Keep us posted at to what you end up doing. Thanks ................ Tim

    Sorry, life has been hectic.

I bought a beater car and drove that until I got pulled over for looking suspicious in my neighbor hood.. then I decided to put a new clutch in the vibe. It was just as I'd assumed - one of the clutch disk springs broke off and fell behind the disk keeping it from disengaging. I think it ended up being $900 at the shop.

Now it needs LCA bushings, but I'm just going to let them go. brakes and tires soon.. there's always something that needs replaced. ugh.
