Stealth 2006 Vibe for Sale in MA!

Hello all,

I traded in my 06' Vibe to a dealership to get my new wheels and I can vouch that it was very well maintained and hardly driven at 62k miles for that age! She is also loaded with the monsoon sound system and a power sunroof.

Didn't know where it ended up after my trade in until carfax alerted me it was serviced/for sale here:

EDIT: Good luck getting it for a decent price though, unfortunately it seems reviews for the dealer are terrible!Please note: this is NOT the original dealer I traded it to, was probably sold at auction to this one.

actually, it would really help us by telling how much you got for your car from the dealer? At $13,000, the car is well over $5000 too high for what I would be willing to pay for a 2006. I bought my Honda Fit Sport, automatic from a guy who was moving for $6500. Your car is now listed at twice that price. While your body looks nicer than mine, and the miles are lower by 30,000, I would never pay more than $7500 for any 2006 model in that class size. Good luck with your new wheels by the way.

Good point! The car is definitely the around same price (or a bit higher??) than when I bought it. Hopefully the one who buys it is a good negotiator, but it is literally out of my hands now

EDIT: Oh also my trade-in for it was 6 grand, I was prepared to be low-balled when trading in, but didn't want to go the Craigslist route and deal with selling it myself. I really thought it would only be put up for sale around 9-10 grand.

I haven't been on these forums in ages, didn't want to deal with no-shows and needed transportation up until I got my new car. Sorry for trying to get the info out? You have quite the collection already it seems! (wish I could afford more than one vehicle, or would of kept the Vibe)

Just for reference, I paid $10k to a Toyota dealer for my 2008 base Vibe with 48,000 miles about a year ago, which was about $2k under NADA book price.

Thanks very much for posting back Nyx8. That is a big help. This may actually be the highest markup by a dealer I have ever seen. Normally it is $4-5,000 on good used cars that they acquire. Yours is a whopping $7,000. For reference, I can get a brand new outgoing model 2013 Honda Fit for just $2,000 more than what the dealer is trying to sell your old car for.
It certainly is a pain dealing with the nutcases in this country these days, so I don't blame you for just giving it to the dealer. I just hope your post gives pause to people who still have a moment's belief that the dealer is their friend. It pains me to see these places still in business in this day/age. I hope your old car's transmission drops to the ground before they can sell it. It would serve them right for taking advantage of people as they do.

Interesting story with what's been happening to your previous Vibe. This doesn't surprise me one bit and makes me sick to my stomach to see this business practice exist. One advantage to all of us here at GenVibe is that we share knowledge, experiences, and look for future owners of Vibes when we know there is one for sale somewhere. Not sure if you did this or not but there could have been a slight chance that one of us here could have purchased your Vibe had we known it was on the market and if we knew your location. Too late now but hopefully this scumbag of a dealership sits on your old Vibe for quite some time before they come to their senses and lower the price.
