Odds and Ends Blowout Sale!

Post by DressedInBlack »

I had to sell my Vibe, but my loss is your gain! Everything is used but still in great and working shape.

List:
K&N Typhoon Intake system has been sold!
The black and the white plastic push-style retainers have been sold!
Tim's Custom High-mount brake light is going back home!
The wheel lock lugs have been sold!
The floor mats have been sold!
The Helm Service Manuals have been sold!
The Cargo Cover has been sold!
The Cargo Mat has been sold!

That's it! Everything is gone.

Thanks y'all!
~~Geoff

I hope Geoff is the confused one, since I just paypaled him for the K&N after he sent me an invoice. :D

BTW I PM'ed him at 11:01 am about it.

Hi. Sorry to hear about your troubles. Hope everything works out for you.

Is your Vibe itself for sale? If so, can you give some info about it?

Thank you!

Sorry to hear that you're riding on some tough times right now Geoff  Hopefully other GenVibers will pick up all these goodies that you're parting with. Will the Vibe be going back to the dearer OR will the repo man come-n-get it? Selling it privately? Just curious what will happen to the Vibe. If for some reason you have no takers on the hmbl then I'll gladly buy it back. Then I'll take it to the next GenVibe meet and pass it onto another 09-10 Vibe GT. I know for a fact that Areles (Ron) wanted one when we met at the Erie meet last summer. If he happens to read this then he can contact you. Let me know as time goes by and somehow we'll find another home for it ....................... Tim

Thanks Tim. Even though this year has been tough, everything is going in the right direction. I'm basically starting over with the help of my family. To be honest, I couldn't be happier about this change. It sucks to get rid of my Vibe, but it's just a car. There will be a time when I can get another!

I am trying to sell the car privately but it looks like I may have to go the Carmax route. I hate that idea but they are a buyer...
I have it listed on AutoTrader.com but that isn't panning out. I also had it listed on Craigslist but someone (probably a local dealership) kept flagging the listing within hours of it being posted. That continued for 2 months so I gave up on that.

I figure Carmax won't give me jack for the goodies so I'm just trying to sell them to people who would appreciate them! I will let you know about the HMBL; thanks for the offer!

Carmax won't give you much, but then they jack up the price big time. A local was selling an 09 GT with 17K miles for $12,500 on craigslist. Carmax gave them less, then listed it for $15,995 and sold it right away.

Car looks good. Hope you have good luck selling it.

Thank you. Sorry didn't realize your Autotrader link up there was one for your car (alot of forums put links on key words and website automatically.)

Everything seems great about the car, except it goes way over my price range. I live in NYC, so that would be quite a trek as well.

Obviously if you can get what you are asking for the car, go for it - but if your only option is Carmax, please let me know what they are offering you and I will beat it if it falls within what I can pay.

Hope all the best for ya.

Dang Geoff, this sucks ! When I saw your post I was really hoping you were just getting rid of some extra stuff you had taking up space and that you weren't getting rid of the Vibe. I hope everything works out for you. Keep your head up ;)!

Geoff,
So sorry to hear that you have to sell the vibe. I've been there myself too - twice actually! I was laid off in early 2010, had to move back home with the parents, got a job offer a year later, then lost that job earlier this year! Even so, there are many out there that are a lot worse off then I am, so when things look bad or a depressed moment kicks in I just try to remember that. Keep your head up and hopefully you, I, and the many others out there can get back on track and have things looking better soon...

Additionally, I was pulling off some of the trim panels the other day, and some of the retainer clips broke. So, I would be interested in taking those trim panel retainers / clips off your hands (both the black and white ones).

Thanks and good luck!

- AJ

Thanks for your encouraging words AJ! I tell ya, I've never felt more blessed than I do now. I have moved back in with my dad and have returned to school! I have many wonderful opportunities as far as jobs go, I just need the credentials. I will own another Vibe someday. It's just not meant to be right now.

As far as the clips, I will PM you!

I guess I don't have enough posts to send PMs.

Are you also willing to part out the cargo mat? Wheel lock set still available too? $70 shipped for all 3 to 02375? My paypal is huyvu1 AT yahooDOTcom.

Post more! This site thrives on posts: questions, suggestions, stories, etc! Make a garage, post pics, and introduce yourself. We don't bite.

As far as the items, the wheel lock set is claimed and sale is pending.

To all my North-of-the-Border freinds: just as a head's up, the shipping cost to Canada via USPS is $54 and via UPS is $40 for both the cargo mat and cargo cover.

Why can't our countries get along?!

Darn tariffs.

Are the Helms manuals still available? How many are there? I want them!

I'm new, just joined this morning, so I can't send private messages.

Let me know about the cargo mat and shade also.
