I've been seeing a lot of press lately about electric rate hikes, supposedly the price caps that were part of the electricity deregulation deal are going to expire July 1, and BG&E is planning to jump the electricity rate +72%. Supposedly the 72% increase is still below the increase in the cost of electricity production. PEPCO is also supposed to jump the rate, but but less than BG&E's increase.Gonna be a long sticky summer here in the midatlantic if people can't afford to run the AC
