Fascinating look at the manufacturing process, almost with a museum feel to it. I see the tour was in June. Anyone know if they've actually started production yet?
My 2003 Vibe Base Auto 2-tone Salsa "SalsaWagon" was built in May 2002. I acquired it in Feb 2004/Traded it in on a 2016 Honda HR-V in Feb 2018.

Thanks for the link. I'm glad to hear the plant will reopen. Toyota and Tesla is an interesting partnership. Did they give priority hiring to the former NUMMI employees who used to build Vibes and Matrix's?

Nope, no priority for anything. They're planning to slowly hire about 1,000 - NUMMI had 6,000 at its peak, thats the odds. And with pay starting at about 40% of what we were making, there are many former employees who have moved on and looked elsewhere.
It's unfortunate what has happened there. I took a tour of NUMMI when they were testing the production line for the first Toyota Tacoma Double Cabs and it was pretty impressive.
