I guess you could call it a very mild "restomod," as I rebuilt the engine w/a few minor upgrades and I've changed some of the appearance items away from stock (namely, wheels/tires and paint). If someone who didn't know Mustangs saw it from ten feet, they would probably assume the only thing not stock were the wheels. Unfortunately, somebody back in the 70's did a $$$ paint job on it using "1954 Ford Sandlewood Tan" and I don't have the money right now to do a color change (ie, trunk, interior, fender wells, etc.); thus, I just had it re-shot the same color. On the positive side, it really makes the chrome "pop" and it's still better than the original color ("Antique Bronze").
BTW: Thanks for the garage compliment. It looks nice now, but I'm sure sometime around February that floor will look trashed...
Nice! A 64-66 huh, coupe, vert or fastback? One of these days I'll have a 65 fastback restomod myself. My dad bought a new 65 fastback 3 days after I was born since he needed a "family car". LOL! He sold it in 76... without asking me
Good luck on the reassembly, and post up pics!

And after a little chrome reassembly this evening:
Tomorrow those 20+ year old tires are coming off, the rims are getting steel wool and new BF Goodrich Radial T/A's are going on. It's going to be a busy weekend!
