1984 Honda Civic WagonThis is about what mine looked like. Had 501000 kms when it finally died for the last time. Honda's from these years ran forever!
I'll have to hunt for pics, but my '88 Quad 4 Grand Am...man was she good to me, and I ran her HARD. *sniff* I miss her.. 14 years and she still had the original rack and pinion and a bunch of other original parts!

Quote, originally posted by star_deceiver »Unfortunatly, the search feature gives nothing when you type "your first car" I wasn't faulting you for not finding the existing thread. I was posting a hyperlink to it because there was already a lot of related content in that other thread, if someone wanted to know what kinds of cars genvibers had as their first car, then that is information they might be interested in. I knew it was there because I remembered posting in it. I didn't try to search for "your first car", but instead started by searching for posts by me that had the specific model name of my first car in the post body.
1984 Ford Escort LAside from the guys in the picture it was the best one of the car I could find, until I get mine up here. Mine was rustoleum gray with red interior, red pin striping, automatic, no air, power nothing (not even steering). 4 different tires, carburated. LOL what a great highschool beater.
1982 Buick Regal. Originally came with a 3.8 V6. Had it swapped out for a small block 350 & 350 turbo Trans w/shift kit. Great sleeper cause I kept the stock 15" wheels with whitewalls on LOL. I miss that exhaust note with 3 chamber flowmasters & a mild cam......ahhhh the memories!

My first car... one that betters all current cars for fuel economy... 1988 Pontiac Firefly. Only had it for 12months and sold it for an '86 mustang GT. That Firefly would get an honest 60 mpg highway! It looked like the one below but with the proper colour fender.
1962 Triumph TR4. I can't believe I don't have the photo in photobucket. It's on my Facebook page so I'll get it posted here.

'77 Dodge Aspen R/T with a 318 2bbl and 4-speed manual (3+OD). Manual steering (7 turns lock to lock) and power brakes. "Plum crazy" (not original color) with black vinyl interior. Excellent for roasting anything or anyone that got inside on nice sunny summer days.It was also comprised of a rather large percentage of body filler and undercoating tar. It developed a rather nasty case of cancer - which the previous owner carefully covered up with the above ingredients. I was 16, and it took me a couple of years to discover just how bad it was. It was certainly an educational experience.Driven carefully, it could achieve 26MPG (imperial) - but that could quickly dip to under 10 with a heavy foot. How things have changed! I'm sure the Vibe is quicker, and I'd be horrified if it dropped to 26 - where that was quite an achievement with the Aspen. Now if I could just get the Vibe to create that V8 rumble...JohnP,S. - I think I was 16 in the photo. Just a couple of years ago
A 1957 Chevy 210 2-dr sedan. Purchased in January 1973. Had been a 6 cyl auto (4:11 final gears,) but someone before me converted it into a 283, 2bbl, 3-sp long tail from an old Corvette, w/Hurst shifter.I dumped a 300hp 327, 4bbl into her, had the bumpers rechromed and was just getting started when I got t-boned on my way to school one morning. She lasted only 9 months in my care. Been driving 4 bangers ever since.

'85 Buick LeSabre. It was donated to my High School by an old fellow. Bright silver w/ vinyl top, Olds 307, 200R4, grey leather interior, power everything, 3.42 posi. it was an amazing car. not quick by any means, she ran a 19.3 in the quarter but so smooth and sweet. Very good on gas for a 5300 pound v8 car too. I'd still be driving her today, probably with a 455, but someone really wanted my stereo pretty bad, smashed the window and she sat in the rain for 3 days and rotted out the carpet, it spat out the block heater and the power steering pressure line popped all in the same week. couldn't afford to fix any of it so it went to the wreckers.Still miss it a lot. I can't get any pictures off my old phone but it was similar to this: but with real chrome steel wheels, 195/70r14 front and 215/70r15 rear.

A BIG bodied car. Bet you passed everything but a gas station with that just like me and my Chevy?Look at that front fender gap. Pretty cool first ride though, for sure. Was the rear end narrowed to fit those deep dish Crager's?
