I know this may be a sensitive subject for some, and some have brand new vibes, so this may not apply right away, and yes i plan on keeping my Vibe until "the wheels fall off" or when the parts start getting expensive. However has anyone thought of what they are gonna purchase next? I'm thinking Possibly the Hyndai Genesis if they are still around by that point, i hear they are reliable.

I would love to get myself a 4 cylinders AWD version of the new Equinox.I will keep the Vibe until rust pierces it to the heart but my girlfriend and I are currently running on only one car and with kids coming along in the next 2 years I would like a second bigger car. Also something that handles better in deep snow and on frozen roads... I miss my old subi wagon

The car is a good seller and in fact should be due for a mid-term mini-facelift in 2011. If they follow the usual logic the 2.4L should be replaced with their new 2.5L (an evolution of the 2.4L) as I beleive the Matrix is the only Toyota model in North America that still uses the 2.4L (with the exception of course of the corolla wich shares the mechanical components of the matrix/vibe)http://www.nummi.com/vehicles.php

Possibly within 1 to 1.5 years from now, I'm planning on getting something brand new.Requirements:**4 cyl Diesel** manual transmissionsunroofleatherWould prefer to have:Satnav4 dr hatchback---Nothing fits that bill currently, except the Jetta. Don't really want a Jetta though. The prospects are looking good though for more selection that fits what I want:-Audi A3 TDI is coming out in a few months, but no mention of manual trans yet. I refuse to buy the DSG one they're initially offering.-Next-gen VW Golf GTD might be coming (it's a GTI with 170hp diesel instead)-Rumor of BMW 1-series hatchback diesels coming to Canada by 2011 - this would be the top of my list. 123d for the win!-Subaru has diesels in Europe, might see them on this side of the pond soon-Mazda has said they're going to work on diesels instead of hybrids. Good on them :3 Hybrids are posermobiles.
Next car has to have better gas milage than the Vibe, so I have REALLY been looking at the 4 door Civic. Not too crazy about the interior though.Other vehicles Im considering are the Toyota RAV4, Honda CRV & Accord, Mazda 3. The mazda is pretty slick looking for a 4 door wagon. Nice & sporty.

I'm interested in the Soul and Elantra Touring wagon at the moment... But depending on how the Cruze turns out that could also be something to look into.

Looking for an 06/07 350Z Roadster as a summer only car and the Matrix will become my winter beater (hard to imagine right now). Lots of aftermatket for the 350Z, lots of potential!
I'm hoping GM will survive to sell me a Volt. If not, or if that turns out to not be feasible, I'll use the same criteria that led me to the Vibe. Best mpg in a US brand car with enough headroom for me to drive safely

I had been waiting on it for over a year. Very poor layout in the hatch area...completely unusable for me. It reminded me of the hatch area of the Malibu Maxx.

Good on them :3 Hybrids are posermobiles.Well after thinking long and hard about it, i do have the option when the time comes for a hyndai, mazda or even a V-dub. i do like the fact of the new diesels out-performing the "status-quo cars" (Hybrids) in fuel economy, and that Mazda will be joining the diesel market (good head on their shoulders). My neighbor has a brand new jetta diesel and loves it for the MPG, she says she got around 58 MPG with it, and i have seen a lot of owners in the south florida area with older jetta and passat Tdi sedans and wagons that they wont give up.So that has to tell you something there.....

I have to ask....why do you want onboard SatNav? Most of the time you could buy a new TomTom every year for the price of an update disc.....OR you could be like the early Vibe owners....buy a car that NEVER got an update disc!!!btw, MY next Car will be a Mini Cooper S.

I have a Garmin Nuvi 650, and might be upgrading that soon. But I want Satnav in my next car ... because it looks cool That, and I can most likely afford it.Still keeping the regular GPS though, since I use it for my company vehicles too. Gotten my money's worth out of it for sure.
Quote, originally posted by HawaiiPontiacLover »That's my year Nice! Still more pleasing to my eye is the '66 Catalina two-door hard top. If it was an older car I have no idea what I'd drive - I love so many.As for the next car - that will be my wife's so it's probably going to be an Accord unless I can get her into some other Honda (always a Honda for her). I don't think she realizes yet how absolutely frickin' huge the new Accords are.
