One of the owners of the billiards place I work at is ditching his early 90's Saab 9-3 hatch and going to pickup a Mini Cooper Clubman S. 172hp, turbo, and up to 36mpg highway. Only two less than the base model.

What year Aveo? Mom has an '05, it's been a decent car for what it is. She was getting 28 MPG for the whopping 6 mile commute she used to have before she retired, not bad for such short trips. It's totally stripped down, has air, automatic and a MP3 CD player, not much else.I've driven it, it was actually kinda fun despite its puny 103 HP engine. Although I'm well accustomed to tiny displacement/low output engines, my Hyundai Accent only has 110. The steering and handling were pretty sharp too.Congrats, it should be a decent basic transportation appliance for ya. Small cars aren't so bad these days.

I had one as a rental when my Vibe was wrecked. It was alright. I think for a car that small, it should get much batter mpg. imho
