Got the MS3!!!

Post by northvibe »

Well I signed my life away and bought the car!! and (removed) this car is just amazing! its like a vibe well...hahha...sorta, but like..ok its like if BMW made a vibe. Just fantastic. I love the xenon lights!!!! shifts soooo smooth, theres MASSIVE amounts of power, I can spin the tires in 2nd 1/2 way through the rpm range by just pressing the gas harder. Im going to post more pics but its sweet, soooo much car for the price. oh yeah, its the 2008 Mazdaspeed 3 GT with all options but home link and Navigation. For you MN people, I bought this at Polar mazda/chevy. I totally recommend this place. I went to Luther and Morries and just hated them. The haggling and lying was just sick, then the finance guy at Morries totally pissed me off, so that ruined their sale. Polar is a no haggle no pressure experience and they know their stuff! oh yeah..i still suck at shifting, hills and getting into 1st gear totally blow. I need to practice a TON more!

Congrats, BTW.

staying out of woot is hard...maybe the pistons need to be run fast so they can get the good seal Thanks everyone!! I drove it like 3 hours in the middle of the night last night so no one else was on the roads to get in my way of stops and hill climbing I got the take off down fairly good. Jeff has been snapping some sweet pics so Ill have him post em up, I need to find a way to charge my ipod while i drive though.... cuz its just a aux in not the ipod2car thing.

As my buddy (tech) says, people may scoff at my auto, however when they see my taillights get smaller and smaller, they shut up pretty quick. He loves my car and told me that he's always detested them, however he loves driving my car. Which is why he is planning to buy it from me this summer. NV, you should get some plates: NVMYMS3

that'd be a sick license plate, but yea my sunfire didnt even have half of what your car has or anything, was the most basic sunfire you could get, but thats all in the past, but i have a question about something regarding subarus and a possibility in my future of my vibe

WOT= Wide Open ThrottleIt's when the car is in full boost.... I had my VGT and when lift hit it was cool, but nothing compares to a turbo at WOT. It's like a freaking jet engine!

I went through some tunnel things last night and you can hear that turbo spinning...uhhhhhh this car is so sweeet. my friend in the SS and i were cruising around and he decided to take off...hahhah he didnt get far at all Well today is the day i negotiate the vibe and a couple parts, to my sister Ill miss it..sorta , but of course ill stay on the forum. Just remember, more full throttle WOT during the first 1000 miles, the more the car will consume oil or have other issues later down the road... THough my car doesn't consume oil like other people's who have beat their cars, I don't get the fuel economy like I should. And I do actually drive like a granny on the streets.

He knows how it goes in a new car, gotta get used to the speedo. and he's right. the VGT was completely different, I had to constantly double check my speed!

well I'm running 5w40 full synthetic from valvoline. I 'm at about 9,000 miles so I switched. my engine is broken in and all that. If I were you, I wouldn't switch until about 9,000-12,000 mile mark. I would have waited until my next oil change but the autocross season would have started by then and the car already taking a beating.

well....I knew this would happen with the tires I have on....Uhhh so I nailed a snow bank today, had to drive to Ely hospital for work and their parking lot still has a layer of ice/snow. Well took a 90 degree turn (going slow) but the car didnt turn...and slide right up a ice snow bank. Well I checked quick and nothing looked bad but then I got home and here is what I found along with the ambient temp sensor not working anyone know the exact location of the temp sensor? New bumper is like $450 from mazda.

i was in 2nd like 2krpm and slowing down..I may of thrown it in N then turned the wheel and ...no turning of the car, I should of gassed in 1st around the corner but Im so used to driving a vibe with snow tires abs kicked in but it was just ice.I got that side popped back in, the place the snaps hold the wheel liner in broke, so I gotta go buy new snap things and then try to find a way to seal or glue them in. then inside the bottom grill something broke and now no temp sensor...so I need to start heating my garage and take the bottom cover off to find out what it is.EDIT: oh i would get snow tires but..I spent all the money on the car and I dont have any left for snow tires
