So, youse guys are always sitting around complaining about how sucky GM's "badge engineering" can be... Meet the DODGE ATTITUDE. Available at your friendly Dodge dealers south of the border. That kinda looks a bit like the Hyundai Accent, as seen in official Hyundai promotional photography from some other nation, no? So what, they just stuck a Dodge emblem in the grille. It gets better. That wasn't too bad of a photochop. But wait, there's more! The Hyundai:Dodge says, once we paste our Dodge emblem on the center of the trunk, let's just take the paint brush and black out the Hyundai name over on the left. Done, now it's officially a DODGE!So seeing how good of a job they covered up the Hyundai emblem, I suppose it was out of the question to suggest they should have changed the colors and covered up the rear parking sensors too, I doubt that Mexico will get that feature. I feel so bad about these poor little Accents being so mutilated! I haven't seen one so digitally disturbed, since, well, uhhh.. At any rate, read all about it here. "Hey Dodge, Hyundai's marketing crew called, they want you to go to Mexico and try a little harder to badge engineer the Accents they sold you." They could have could have done a better job, it's obvious they didn't really care to though. It wouldn't have killed them to take a couple pictures here or there of the actual car eh? That G5 ain't so bad now, is it?

If you were still close to Mexico, I'd ask you to go stop by a Dodge dealer so I could have you buy me the Dodge badges to put on my Hyundai so I can rebrand the thing. It'll be fun, you know, like a ricer slapping GT-R or TYPE-R emblems on their Cavalier! But I'm not convinced they actually put the Dodge stuff on the cars otuside of photoshop. (removed) This and the Atos are probably gonna be some hot sellers down there, lemme tell ya. Dodge went through a lot of work to make the cars their own, on the Atos they even left the Hyundai emblems. I'm surprised they didn't put the Dodge snout on the front though. They could have done that real easy! (removed)!

Wow, that's messed up.I've seen a lot of the rebadged Mercedes Sprinter cargo vans around here. They're identical to the euro cargo vans, but american badges on them. (edumuds did a write up on them here: http://www.edmunds.com/new/res....html )Quote »The Dodge Sprinter was initially introduced to the U.S. market in limited quantities as a Freightliner in 2002, and sold only to commercial businesses. Why the Freightliner badge? DaimlerChrysler felt consumers would feel like they were being overcharged for deliveries if their packages were brought to them in a Mercedes van. Since then Dodge has taken over the sales and service duties, and is offering the Sprinter van just as readily as the previous Ram Van. Available in cargo and passenger versions, a comprehensive selection of configurations makes it easy to meet specific needs."pffft, I'm not using ABC shipping any more - they drive 'Benz... " Honestly... are we American's that stupid? (please be nice... )I guess this is the product of a world economy.
