Stripped for paint

We took the Vibe to a friend to get it repainted today. here it is with all the cladding, lights, trim and bumpers removed.

Nice, the naked vibe, see all the trim panel holes.

Getting a change of color or trying to fix a bunch of stone chips and marks?

Derf, I'm going with the same color. The paint has a lot of weird areas that won't polish out. We were going to have him clear coat it with only the rear bumper needing repaint but he may end up painting/clearcoating the whole car, we'll see. There was lot of grunge under all those pieces so I'm glad we took them off. Surprisingly few chips and luckily no bodywork needed, just some scrapes on the rear bumper. Then I will put graphics on it and she should look better than new.

It was $1300.00 for the paint job and the graphic was $54.00. Spent about another $50 for misc fasteners and buffing compound. So about $1400 total.
